Let's remember that Ohio State threw on first down in the 4th quarter.
All of the Buckeyes can put up their hands for this loss, but Terrelle Pryor really did not take charge of the team on the last three possessions and made a number of mistakes. That said, he was running for his life in the last quarter.
The defense was magnificent but the offense did not keep them off the field long enough. A sustained drive by the offense and that last USC drive would not have happened, in my opinion.
Most people thought the six point line flattered Ohio State coming in to this game. It is sad that a young team did not get the revenge they sought tonight, but they will learn and this possibly will be their last loss of the year.

I'm not that unhappy except for the missed opportunities. You can't expect a young D to hold up against USC every series of downs.
I am stoked about our D. If they play like this the rest of the way, I don't see the Bucks losing another game this year. Did they ever look good and they are all back for the most part next year barring any early departures.

I'm sorry but our defense played too good tonight for that last drive to be acceptable. We had them at what 2nd and 20 on their 5 and they drive the field! This is like Elway 20 years ago bullshit.
The problem is that we played a hell of a game and already people are saying on other boards "The Buckeyes blow another big game". Shit fuck this.
Also I'm sorry but hopefully TP learns from this because he is too talented to make the mistakes he made tonight!
God damn man.
I still think we have a great chance at going undefeated next year, but fuck this loss stings. This loss would've changed everything.

I think the game boils down to:
1/5 USC on the last drive
1/5 OSU coaching miscues
3/5 OSU's lack of execution on Offense
how many errant passes did TP throw? if they were better placed or caught.. this game would have been over a long time ago.
He did not seem to get into rhythm at all and I didn't hear any receiver's name called after the 1st Q other than Posey. What, no one else ever got open or was he just the fav?
Good game, but obviously not the W we had in hand.

I think there are a lot of positives to take from this game, and while it hurts right now to lose, we played fantastic football for much of the game against a team that most ppl wouldn't have given us a chance against. Let's just hope we get a rematch at the Rose Bowl with a better Pryor.

By the way, it is absolutely NOT a cop out to say OSU lost more than USC won.
USC may have had that late drive, but it doesn't mean shit if TP gets it done on even ONE second half drive. This is not bashing; it is a statement of fact.
The "D" held up their end, giving up only 11 points. The other 7 are on the offense. You tell me that the "D" holds USC to 11 points and I say we win going away.
I hope and pray we aren't about to regress into the offenses that can't consistently produce. I think its way too early to say that, but this loss was especially disheartening because every facet of the team performed above expectations...except TP.

Defense plays lights out, Offense needs to play better. Its early in the season the Big 10 and a BCS are still goals. Well be OK

All and all, Im not upset, We played a great game with ALOT of new players. Our defense looked amazing, Posey is going to be a stud. The big 10 is slowly building back up its rep, and even though we lost this game, we got alot of credit.
