While I'm playing the contrarian....I might as well keep going.

If USC scores early, the OSU fans will get quiet. I saw it at the LSU game. In the back of most of their minds, they're afraid of losing the game. They'll be loud to start....but if their expectations of a blowout are met early, they'll pack up. For the Shoe to be loud for the whole game, OSU has to be in it the whole game.

Luckily for us, USC is a slow starter.

Agree 100%

do we? it seems to me that our priority should be stopping the run. if we can barkley will never get a chance. going after barkley could be the final nail.

usc didn't perform well in the first quarter last week and it's because their run game was not established yet. as i read on the-ozone earlier, once that is established, the dbacks start biting on play action and barkley gets wide open short passes.

CPC is expecting us to go after barkley, what if we leave him alone at first and concentrate on stuffing the run? if the run is stopped, THEN we hit barkley, which will rattle him hopefully resulting in bad decision making.

also, pointed out in the article every team that has beat usc in the past 3 years has done so by stopping their run. this is the key to the game. forget barkley, he's a game manager, not a playmaker, go after the run.

Agreed 100%. Though I'm hoping that we can get pressure with just our dline. Combine that with an effective run D and we're in business. Big Business

Almost here...I'm starting to feel like an 8 year old christmas week.

Go Bucks!

Beat USC

USC O-Line dominates, Pryor is kept in check by disciplined LBers, and the secondary wreaks havoc on Pryor's throws deep and across the middle.

Pryor with 3 picks, USC with 200+ rushing yards, and 200+ passing. Blows open in the 3rd quarter.

Brought to us by the one who can't see past his own internal contradictions. Whoop-ee.

Barkley's right. For him, this game will be like a day at the beach.

Omaha Beach.

IIRC, the offense won it that day.

Just sayin'.

Yeah, well, so what. I can do better taking tests than 90% of your team.

We hold the #1 rushing offense in the country 4 years in a row to under 200 yards and you think USC will rush for over 200 yards?

Is it possible USC will blow us out? Yes. Is it possible, their WRs outplay our secondary? Yes. Is it possible their RBs have a field day on us? No. The only time I can remember that happening was a guy wearing blue and piss color that had a first and last name 45 characters long each. And that was a long time ago.
