Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

Hi. Hope a USC fan is welcome here?

I live in Michigan and am a USC fan for 40 years now. THEE USC. Not SCAR.

I hate TSUN every bit if not more than you guys, having to live here and see them and listen to them, at work, my best friends, at the gas station etc ugh. It's such hate that I can't explain it. So we have that in common. Thankfully, we own them and I throw that in their face when they start cutting USC down, or I don't know what I would do.

I lived in Ohio for 7 years recently and loved it, the people, fans, just everything. An amazing place and amazing people, IMO. The MetroParks is just beautiful and hardly a day in 7 years I wasn't in the woods running them with my dogs. Brings back such great memories.

I have a ton of respect for tOSU and their history, their players and traditions. My favorite B1G team to watch because you guys have such great athletes. IMO, Ohio is the 4th best state in the nation for HS recruits and I always tell Michigan fans they're only good when they have Ohio players. That goes over very nicely.

Not much more about me for now other than I would have personally got out and helped Woody push his car over the line. One, because it's Woody Hayes, and two, because he was right.

Welcome, you should fit in nicely :) What part of Michigan?
Thank you. :)

Battle Creek.

What's funny is I was born here, grew up and lived here in Michigan all my life. I moved to Ohio because my gf at the time was a flight attendant based out of Cleveland so instead of having her drive back and forth we moved to North Royalton.

I moved back 7 years later after we broke up because of being homesick. Been back here about 10 years and after 1 month was homesick for Ohio and have been ever since. I effin love Ohio and if I had a job lined up, I'd be there ASAP. I love and miss Ohio soooo damned much.

What's your connection to USC?

You'll laugh at me for it but... Their colors.

I was 5 at the time. Saw them in a magazine at a store.

Then everyone I was around was all Michigan (which I get, we're in Michigan) and the more I was around it the more I hated Michigan and made me want to be a rebel. (One of the pitbulls I have now is named Rebel just because of the link of being a rebel and USC. Was going to name myself here Rebel but wanted to avoid confusion as to who my team was in my comments. Would def want to be named Rebel here but was afraid of being thought of as a troll)

Then 1978 came. Alabama claimed the NC (with USC) after we beat Bama head to head that year. I don't remember that game at all and didn't watch it but I had to stand up to a lot of hate from scUM fans. Have hated them with so much passion since that year. Then 1979, Bama again won and I fought we should have again and the scUM fans made me hate them more and stick up for USC even more....

Kind of a snowball going down a mountain with the scUM hatred and USC love. To this day, I can have great debates with any fan of college football except a scUM fan. I'm a total ass once I know it's them but it's 40 years of living here.
