These biathlon announcers need to settle the fuck down.

I'm beginning to think that for some sports (not all by any means), NBC directs the announcer(s) to do things in a certain way - like screaming.

Tonight I just remembered that Rowdy Gaines is kind of similar with Olympic swimming. But that's swimming (more popular) and this is cross country skiing.

You have no clue how happy I am the online feed is usually a laid-back British person. You could actually hear the skates hitting the ice during speedskating.

I might be blind as a bat... but I've looked all over and cannot find anywhere on NBC' page for live streaming stuff.
When I go to videos all I see is some snippets, like the Russian Police singing ?
I've just been connecting to Toronto VPN and watching over CBC' live streaming... but the connection is kinda iffy sometimes.

I'm sure some of it is directed. Some of it is more subtle than that, like producers turning up the volume on their headsets knowing that the announcers will raise their own voices to match.

I read that's one thing they do to get more excitement out of Bobby Knight's voice during games, for instance. It wouldnt' surprise me if ham-fisted producers use that technique all the time instead of just with the dry, grumpy-sounding announcers.

You can also watch it on the NBCSports app.

1) Go to NBCOlympics.com
2) On the upper-left corner, click on Watch Video.
3) On the Watch Video page, look for Live Stream Schedule (usually it's under the main photo). There you'll find all the live streams and replays.

You'll need either a cable subscription log-in or satellite log-in to watch more than 30 minutes.
