I just had a really great Jalapeno burger (or 2) from Giant Eagle for lunch, wow is all I can say.

Enough highjacking from me though, the only reason this is news is becuase its MoC.
That kid is a cancer, I cant wait till april to see where he gets drafted...

I'm actually kind of glad this all circles back to Clarett. It serves to limit the scope of the assumed wrongdoing.

How many imbecile sportscasters have you heard on talk radio or ESPN who said "Ahha! See, I told you. Clarett was just the tip of the iceberg. The Ohio State program is riddled with scandal. The Troy Smith episode proves there's much, much more yet to be revealed"?

Well, now we've got the best possible answer. "Actually, no there isn't. There was one scumbag on the team two years ago, but he lied his way right out of tOSU program. This newest 'scandal' was his doing too. Maurice Carett was the tip of the iceberg, the submerged body of the iceberg and the entire surrounding Arctic Ocean -- all by his sorry-ass self."

Maurice is the NFL's problem now. And Alan Milstein's, once he tries to collect those legal fees.

The PR nightmare for tOSU will end once and for all when JT and crew win another NC, without Mo. That will prove, to even the harshest critics, that Mo Clarett was a festering boil on the butt of OSU's national championship, not the reason the Buckeyes won it. When we win the next one, with players like Teddy Ginn, Alex Boone and AJ Hawk, the true nature of tOSU football program will be put back in perspective. Even for those turds at ESPN.

I would like to know how everyone thinks this is going to effect tOSU. Obviously no matter how you look at this it's bad, but does this fall on Troy's shoulders and make him responsible for these actions? Will Troy be the only person punished or will the football program be penalized for these two geniuses? I am not sure if anything similar to this soap opera has ever happened, so I was wondering how you might think this will play out. I hope everyone isn't going to suffer for these two.

Only time will tell my friend but I don't see anything major coming out of this. I think there will be the two game suspension for Troy and that'll be all she wrote. I don't see how the University could be punished for something that is out of thier hands ( a "rogue" booster giving a player money.) All the University can do is educate the players and the boosters on what the right thing to do is and if they (boosters/players) choose not to follow those rules then it's thier problem. That is of course unless the university was "setting" up these meetings which I highly doubt.

To me as it stands right now, It looks like nothing is going to come out of this...and am I the only one that thinks this is hilarious? Its like MC is the axis of evil, its like you can count on him to be involved in anything negative with tOSU...its sickening, but funny, cause Clarett is just a Douche Bag.

I think this shows that Mo. C. is a liar and cheat, and that Ohio State has no culpability whatsoever. Is this the scandal? Mo. C. scams a cell phone off of Troy's mom, and then refuses to pay the bill. And then Mo points Troy to John Q. Baker, who pays the bill? And then a vigilent alum blows the whistle? Surely, this is not the scandal that ESPN was rooting for, was it? 'Cause this is nothing more than another example of Maurice Clarett's lack of maturity, intellegence, and class. This is not a deep-rooted, institution-wide scandal. This is one guy, thinking he's better than the institution, drawing people into his web of lies without any regard whatsoever for the outcome.

Also, wasn't there ANYONE besides Troy's mom who would get him a cell phone? What about Mr. Such-and -Such? Folks, this IS the iceburg, and it cannot sink the SS Buckeye. Ohio State didn't do anything wrong. There is no way that Ohio State could reaonably have known this happened.

ESPiN, the National Enquirer of Sports

Guys, I gotta tell ya, this really looks BAD for ESPiN. It's almost a perfect storm. You've got the NCAA saying that the way OSU is setting up its compliance network within the University is the poster-child for the future, the slime bag that you have been claiming is vindicated by the Troy Smith situation actually turns out to be the villain and Andy Geiger resigns in tears making you look like a bunch of scumbags yourselves.

This may not be all that comes out, I know, but if it is, ESPiN looks like what they are. OSU is not without sin but it certainly isn't what they have painted it to be.

I am greatly encouraged by this news!

Hey, ESPiN, when you gonna print the story about aliens in college football teams and show us the story about the three eyed poker player?
