Heck, the more I think about it AKAK, I think Mo was going to Miami (not FSU) until he had to fly.

You know, the saddest thing here is that this was not Troy's problem to fix, but yet he is the one paying the price
Clarett wanted to be a Miami Hurricane
By Rusty Miller
AP Sports Writer
Maurice Clarett scores a touchdown vs. Michigan. His fear of flying probably kept him from attending Miami.
COLUMBUS -- If not for his fear of flying, Maurice Clarett might well be battling Willis McGahee for playing time in the Miami backfield.
I still firmly believe that Troy should not be kicked off the team, but to say this wasn't his problem is a little extreme. We don't know exactly how this happened, and probably never will, but more than likely Troy convinced his mother to get the cell for Mo, and everybody knows, Troy included, that he shouldn't have gotten the money for the bill the way he did. Even if MoC told him to go there, Troy still knew it was wrong. He is responsible for his own actions, and therefore it is entirely unrealistic to say that MoC is 100% responsible here.AJHawkfan said:You know, the saddest thing here is that this was not Troy's problem to fix, but yet he is the one paying the price.
This whole responsibility falls on MoC's shoulders, although Troy's mom should have been smart enough to know better than to sign for a cell phone for a 19 year old MAN who was not a direct relative, especially if she cannot pay the bill.
This whole thing is incredible. You couldn't write a more unbelievable story if you tried.
It's not entirely implausible. Although, knowing that he can't (or won't) even do something as simple as pay a cell phone bill doesn't give him a whole lot of credibility as a mature, responsible, NFL-ready individual. I don't think I'd be willing to put the next 8-10 years of my organization on his shoulders, would you?Buckeyeskickbuttocks said:Somewhere in the evil recesses of Clarett's mind - "Hmmm... I'm just worried this is the tip of the iceberg with TS...
My mind just keeps going back to Smith defending MoC...

Is this plausible?:
Troy: Yo, Mo...My mom's on me about that cell phone bill.
Mo: I got your money, bro....Go see Robert Q. Baker at so-and-so address...he owes me some money...he'll just give it to you.
1) clarret isnt that smartBuckeyeskickbuttocks said:Somewhere in the evil recesses of Clarett's mind - "Hmmm... I just told ESPN about all these problems. And no one has found any. Hey! Agreed...and he has never had a plausible, long-term plan. MoC is the typical live by second/fate decided on impulse childBuckeyeNation27 said:1) clarret isnt that smart
Pick one. Clarett had offers from every major university in the country by his junior year. I know he had told Bob Davie he was ready to go to Notre Dame while taking a visit his junior year. Davie told him it would help to go back to high school and graduate first. :tongue2:AKAKBUCK said:What school did he decide not to go to because he didn't like to fly?
