sleeper/bust picks of the draft

You could be right but we won't know for years down the road. I will say though that I disagree strongly. CJ dominated everyone he played against and he never had a QB who could even throw him the ball in college. Give him a guy who can even throw a ball and just think what he can do.

The only way Calvin Johnson could be a bust is if people expect him to double every single record Jerry Rice owns. The guy is MUCH more than simply a "workout warrior." Think of it like this, hab... the man had friggin Reggie Ball as his QB and he was STILL the best WR in college football for two years.

I like that the Dolphins just took Ginn in the top-10. All that 15 or later stuff made no sense to me at all...Ginn will not be a bust.

Spoken like a true homer.

If by "okay" you mean the best and most feared WR in football, even with a joke of a quarterback throwing to him and triple-team coverages on him, then yeah Johnson is very "okay".

I will grant that Ball is a Bellisarri-type of QB...and Johnson had big games against Virginia, Vtech, ND, Maryland, Wake Forest, and West Virginia (decent teams)...but he had no catches against Clemson, one catch against Georgia, three short little catches against North Carolina, one short catch against NC State, and one catch for no yards against Miami. He just seems to disappear at times, and I know in the games that I observed that he was simply not a factor...even if he was drawing extra attention from the defense, the offense didn't capitalize elsewhere.

He's a good receiver, and he'll do well in the NFL...but he's going to have a career similar to Charles Rogers, IMO, and I saw Rogers do more in college than Johnson.

Sleeper-Maurice Price from Div. 1-A Charleston Southern. I have seen this kid play and he could have easily prayed Div. 1 ball. My son told me that Maurice ran a 4.4 and had a 42' vertical on his pro day workout. He is 6' 1" but has huge hands and runs precise routes. He is probably a round 4-6 pick.

i have to agree to an extent. i wouldnt be surprised if johnson ended up being average. i dont think he will do bad but the media overhypes him which is unfair to him and maybe he will be great but if he turns out so-so i wouldnt be surprised. i watched him play numerous times and he just doesn't fit all the hype surrounding him if you ask me plus the ACC is weak. he also dropped a game winner last year or the year before.

From just watching the highlights on ESPeNis, gotta 'Cry Wolfe." That little bastard can just flat out play football. He's gonna be a star. As far as busts, I'll say Ginn,Jr.

I agree. I guess I just have a hard time seeing Teddy go over the middle in the league......... He'll make for a nice returner/ deep route runner, but I don't think he'll ever be a #1 receiver. If I had to wager, I'd say that Gonzo will have a better NFL career than Teddy. Hopefully I'm wrong........but he's still got a lot to learn.
