Skeete's Arrest & (sort of) Related Topics

I am really suprised by this, by all accounts Skeete is an excellent kid....amazing.

Another example of recruiting a kid who was a solid student and good kid....he gets to college and makes bad decisions, there is no way a coach can see the future on some of these kids.

What a stupid mistake for a young student/athlete. If due process determines that he's guilty of this, he's got to be gone for good. Another hit on the APR.

I may be wrong, but Skeete wasn't on scholarship so he wouldn't count against the APR... right?

According to BP's scholarship breakdown, he is included as a scholarship player. Ryan Pretorious is not listed, maybe that's who you were thinking of?????

Couple of things...

1. If they had a warrant for his arrest, they probably didn't catch him in the act and arrest him on the spot. They wouldn't need a warrant for that. It might be the result of an undercover police operation in which he (allegedly) sold marijuana to an informant or a police officer.

2. It is likely that he has been indicted already. That's usually how these things work. The police do an undercover operation, get the goods on as many people as they can without blowing their cover, present a bunch of cases to the grand jury, indict the suspects, and then issue warrants for their arrest.

Just an educated observation on my part.

He may be allowed back on the team later, but assuming he did not come back, do we get his schollie back or not? I don't want that to happen, I just want to know realistically what the situation is like if he does not return
