Sounds like Harbaugh is stalling to try to bait NFL team into giving him a better contract this time, rather than maybe trying to use the NFL to get a better deal from scUM.

Dude is probably asking NFL teams for Belichick money too.
What if the NFL doesn't want him, and the adults in the room finally step forward and prevent Ono from putting the "free to cheat" clause into his contract? That could be fun.
He’s going to either be a martyr that took one for the program against the NCAA or he returns a hero and they think they have their Mich Man forever (until next year).
And he’s got a title so he’s already god status.
It’s a win win for him.
Yeah, all but the ambulance chaser, have stayed quiet. I just wonder how the issue of having to be elected will play into their decisions. Are they willing to face the wrath of the Wal-Marts (well, let's be honest...after the last few months, the actual alumni too) as the ones who nailed the Messiah to the cross. There is probably still plenty of "we have to protect the reputation of the university first and not play this nonsense with sports" attitude on the scUM board. This is a real possibility.
Oh you're still working out a contract with your current job? What's the sticking point?I'm having a hard time getting my head around an NFL team interviewing a guy who is publicly stating that he is still working on a contract with his university. I'd be like figure the fuck out what you want to do, and if head coach in the NFL is it, then maybe we'll talk to you then.
