SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

Yeah, they won't, though.

I'm pretty sure that was the NFL who did that. Or maybe it was Tressel and the Colts, themselves. I know the NCAA didn't have the balls to even suggest it.

I get the feeling that he's trying to be picky about where he goes. If he decides to be less picky, he'll get a job. It might be a booftastic job. I hope he gets rejected and has to go back to *ichigan. That would make me laugh.
Agreed with points 1 and 3, and I think I am wrong on point 2 in terms of the NCAA not allowing JT to go to the NFL. As I recall the NCAA tried to influence to Colts' decision to not hire him, but had no power to actually prevent that from happening...yet didn't try to interfere with Sneaky Pete going to the Seahawks. Maybe that is off.

I also concede it is hard to compare an NCAA that has lost a tremendous amount of (perceived) power in 2023 to over a decade ago when JT got the hammer with respect to Harbaugh. Just about everyone thinks the NCAA is a joke and lacks any real power over college athletics. But I would still advocate the SEC approach to the NCAAA...self-report minor violations that won't be an issue and deny everything else (if they even self-report minor violations, that is doubtful).

I hate the SEC more than anyone on here, but it is effective and the B1G keeps getting hammered because they think that the NCAA has any real power. To that point and the topic of this thread, the showdown between ttun and the NCAA is going to be fun to watch in terms of seeing if the NCAA actually can do anything about it.

If this is true, he must be really, really hoping someone actually offers him a job this time. What, is he going to be a special teams coordinator for the Ravens if no one offers him a HC job for the third offseason in a row?

It won't be the Ravens. His brother will give him a DC for a year to make sure he stays at Michigan.....but he's not stupid enough to put him on his own staff and have to deal with him every day.

Beginning more and more to think that this year is going to end up being a giant flop for them. Harbaugh is probably going to mentally check out on the season. For a guy who already seems to not be in love with the college game, looming NCAA meddling and a giant rebuild coming next year don't leave much to look forward to. Recruiting is already taking a gigantic hit, it's only going to get worse the longer this drags on too. There's a good chance the locker rooms ends up coming unglued this season at some point, if it isn't already starting to.

Hilarious that they have their 2 best seasons in forever and going into a 3rd potential playoff season with a ton of returners, only to fall apart because Harbaugh being Harbaugh.

Their schedule blows. They can sleepwalk through that schedule with the talent that they have. The one thing that will derail them is if McCarthy gets injured. Then they are FUBAR. I only see 1 loss max going into the Ohio State game. Look at last year. Harbaugh flirts with the NFL, their recruiting was shit, and they still found a way to the playoffs.

Losses @Penn State and to Ohio State +1 bigger upset loss (@Minnesota @Maryland or @Sparty?) Remember they struggled with Maryland and barely got by Illinois last year. They are WAY overdue to have one of those types of games not go their way.

3 regular season losses would be a mega disappointment considering the hype going into the season.

True, the reason I think they will be fine is the collection of assistant coaches that they have. Their coaching staff is strong. Not only are they going to lose players after the season, but I could see some of their coaches leave for better positions. Their defensive coordinator for one and Moore seems to be a rising star. So even if Harbaugh has retard moments, his coaching staff can make up for it.

Not sure how good the DC really is. They coulda pulled fans out of the stands to coach the defense and been successful on defense last year with that schedule they faced. Same this year.

Somebody else mentioned it, but this season almost has a 2007 vibe to it. Pre Season top5, Senior laden team, Expected run at a Natty then BOOM! App State happens. Then punked by Oregon the following week. Granted they don't have an Oregon on the schedule this year, but the DO sure seem to be doing a lot of yapping before they even play a game.

Yea I doubt they get even somewhat close to losing to any of those OOC schlubs. But it wouldn't shock me now if they fall apart on the road against some team they should probably steamroll, like Corn, Sparty or Minnesota. I refuse to believe that all this Harbaugh stuff is having ZERO effect on the locker room, the first minor adversity they have to face will really show how this team is mentally.
