Speaking of quarterback play: Michigan has actually been worse statistically at that position in the five years under Jim Harbaugh than it was in the previous five, four of which were under Brady Hoke and one with Rich Rodriguez. This is not what was expected when the guy who coached Andrew Luck and got the best out of Colin Kaepernick was hired at great cost, but it’s the truth. The Wolverines’ pass efficiency rating under Harbaugh is 128.1, and in the previous five seasons it was 133.5.

Hoke > Harbaugh

  • Most successful season Harbaugh has had was with a roster full of 4-5th year players Hoke recruited.
  • Hoke also had to overcome inheriting Rich Rod's roster full of slot dots. Jimmah inherited a better roster than he has now.
  • Hoke won The Game once. Jimmah is ofer
  • He damn near won it two other times. Jimmah has been boat raced 3 times.
  • Hoke won a major Bowl Game

And are we sure Hoke was better than Rich Rod? 11-2, 8-5, 7-6, 5-7, vs. 3-9, 5-7, 7-6. RichRod cratered his first year, but at least the trend was in the right direction. Hoke won with RichRod's slot dots, then steadily got worse.

I'm with this. I think RichRod could actually coach a bit. Not saying he was great, but he was OK. I don't think Hoke really could coach much.
