I’m watching Hairball’s interview on BTN from Media Days last week, where he’s at the desk and talking to Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo, and Howard Griffith.
DiNardo asked him about NIL, and Harbaugh said “The Supreme Court just voted on it, right? I mean, 9-0 verdict, 9-0. I’m not a student of the Supreme Court, but I think it’s been like 10 or 20 years since there’s been a 9-0 vote on anything.”
Well, you are correct, dipshit, in saying you’re not a student of the Supreme Court, There have been multiple 9-0 rulings this year, and over the past 15 years the most common ruling has actually been a 9-0 vote, so saying there hasn’t been one in “like 10 to 20 years” is about as wrong as anybody could be.

But the reality is the opposite: 9-0 rulings are the most common types of Supreme Court rulings, year after year. While 5-4 rulings attract the most attention from the public and the media, there’s a good chance that a larger number of cases you never heard about were decided on a unanimous basis.
