SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

If we're gonna talk Mayos, I present Mayo Methot, shown here with husband Humphrey Bogart....

This Mayo was a drunk (even by Bogie's very relaxed standards), and Bogie divorced her on 10 Mayo 1945. Eleven days later, he married wife #4 (at Malabar Farm, near Mansfield, Ohio), and a legendary couple was born....

Slight trade up.

$7M rising to 7.6 at the end of the deal. Essentially, they gave him all his money back. Buyout starts at $3M and steps down to zero.

"Furthermore, he just took the team to the CFP, and Michigan is the best they’ve been in a very long time."

Hmmmmmm, just lost his defense, his OC, a couple of recruits, and has a QB squabble on his hands that will probably lead to one of them hitting the portal at the end of spring training. But, yeah, best in a long time.

This hurts, but I swear I read he gave bonuses worth about $2 million to staff who lost income during Covid. He might be slightly human. Slightly.

He didn't give it, it's not his money.

Remember he gets paid the majority of his comp through a life insurance policy that the school pays for and he gets to keep. That thing will be massive later in life so while it might be a genuinely nice gesture, it isn't real money to him.

More likely that image obsessed university cooked it up for public relations reasons and told Simple Jim that they'd more than make it up to him in a month, so it wasn't real money to him.

OR

Simple Jim was certain that, in a month, NFL teams would be fighting to give him 100 meeeelion dollars, so it wasn't real money to him.
