Here's another fly in the ointment regarding Harbrau's NFL prospects: what are the two most discussed options? The Jets and Chargers. What do they both have in common? Young QBs they're going to be looking to put in the best possible situation to succeed. Herbert in SD and Darnold or the presumed #2 pick in NY. Does anybody really think either of them are going to put their future at the most important position in the game in the hands of a guy who has been roundly criticized for failing to develop a true star at QB in six years in college? Seems unlikely.
That leaves Jacksonville and Detroit. The Jags seem locked in on Urban. And it's the same situation. Are they gonna turn Trevor Lawrence over to Harbrau? Doubtful. Detroit? That was mentioned a lot when Patricia was fired, but not much since. Yeah, they Lions are a clownshow, but I cannot fathom hiring an increasingly unpopular coach from just up the road when presumably many of those fans are fans of your team, too.
What about Houston. Not likely. Harbrau has received no mentions with that job.
The NFL carousel seems to be pretty full of candidates already in the league...Chiefs OC Bieniemy, Bills OC Daboll, Ravens OC Roman, the Titans OC, Niners DC Saleh, Colts DC Eberflus and multiple others. Plus Matt Campbell at Iowa State.
Methinks Simple Jim's NFL prospects aren't all that great.
*edit* Forgot the Falcons. I haven't heard a peep about Jimbo and Atlanta either. Seems unlikely.

HARBAUGH OUT SHOPPING. If you're wondering why Michigan hasn't announced an extension for Jim Harbaugh yet, it's because he's currently out there shopping himself to any NFL team that will listen.
The funniest possible outcome at this point is that Harbaugh doesn't get an NFL offer and then reluctantly returns to Michigan with all parties knowing damn well it was his last option.
Just sayin': Another funniest possible outcome; Meyer signs with a NFL team for $12M and Hairball* signs with a NFL team for less than he is getting at scUM. Of course the reality of this outcome isn't all that funny, i.e. Hairball doesn't stay at scUM and they hire somebody else.
*Harbaugh’s original seven-year contract expires after the 2021 season and he will make more than $8 million this season
