SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

I’d like to know how Josh Gattis sold a giant steaming turd to Harbaugh as a 13 course black tie dinner. The X and O guys basically said it appears Harbaugh went hands off with the implementation and planning for the offense. There’s a reason coaches don’t blow up their offense despite its mediocrity: the other option could always be worse, especially if the staff doesn’t know how to implement it. Pair that with Michigan’s lack of talent, it’s a beautiful disaster.

interview probably went down like this..

Further perspective: Since 1975, where they're played at least 12 games each season, they have exactly one 12-win season (12-0, 1997). Since that sole 12-win season, they've had at least three losses in 18 of the 21 seasons (2-loss season were 1999, 2006, and 2011). UFM has 12 wins every year of his 7-year tenure except for 2016 (11-2) and averaged 12.3 wins a season.

Ohio State has more 11-win seasons IN A ROW than those skunkweasels have in their entire history.

There's a direct parallel here. In 2008, Tommy Tuberville was coming under fire for underperforming, outdated offenses. He went out and hired Troy's OC, Tony Franklin, considered a bright young spread offense implementor. After 6 games, Auburn was ranked 104th nationally in total offense, largely because they lacked the personnel to adapt to a brand new scheme on the fly. Franklin was dismissed on October 8, Auburn limped to a 5-7 record and Tuberville was dismissed.

It's not often that you see an established head coach attempt to radically overhaul their offense mid-tenure. It's even less often that it works, unless you find an unheralded guru...like Orgeron seems to have done at LSU.

Jimbo is in a lot of trouble.

Awful lot of talk in that thread of how "Harbaugh is a better coach than Urban"

oh memories......

What makes those cold takes the best is realizing those were posted Jan 8, 2015. They were dreaming of Championships, meanwhile Urban was actually winning one four days later.

By no measure was Harbaugh a better coach than Urban Meyer on Jan 8, 2015, and the suggestion only looks more absurd now. DFBIA gonna DFBIA.

One of my favorite things of the past decade is that the DFBIA had really only two moments of pure joy...their 2011 win over tOSU and the day their "savior" agreed to come home.

tOSU shat right on both of those moments by hiring Urban Meyer two days after their one victory in the Game since 2003, and winning the CFB Playoff four days after Harbaugh came home.

Both moments of joy were fleeting. The 2011 win was a mirage and the harbrau, to date, has been nothing short of a disappointment trending towards a grisly demise.

Some of those idiots thought that TTUN's December 2014/January 2015 was better than the Buckeyes' was because they hired that twit.

So what you're really saying is that they've had exactly six days of joy since November 22, 2003.

In other words, six days of happiness in the last 5,784 days. So they've been happy exactly 0.1% of the time.

Not bad ... but still not good bad enough.
