SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

I'm beginning to honestly have concerns about Jim. He is one strange dude to begin with, but coupling the loses to OSU, MSU and now the possible loss of Harrison and the tranfers, might just make him go postal.

Concerned as a fellow human being.

In a week full of delicious schadenfreude, here's some more. The tide certainly seems to be turning on the harbrau over on the Ministry of Excuses. They've even replaced the harbrau-centric banner for the first time since he was hired. These are all posts from the thread about Harrison over on MGoBoard. Fap away, you little spider monkeys...

Records wise, maybe. But Harbaugh still has nothing to show for his four years of being here, in the way of hardware. In the way of things that truly matter. Franklin, Dantonio, Meyer, they all have at least one conference title and big bowl win to their name, if not more. Wisconsin has multiple Big Ten title appearances and big bowl wins.

Michigan? None of that
Sure, there have been some unlucky moments, but there have been plenty of moments to where his team was just simply caught with its pants down in the biggest moments of the season, or was out-coached or completely unprepared. It seems like whenever there is a chance for a Harbaugh-coached team to make a true national statement, it falls flat on its face and shits all over itself. I'm not talking about beating an underwhelming MSU or PSU team, or an offensively challenged divisional champion Florida team. I'm talking about the kind of game that changes the narrative of your whole season and the entire perception of your program. Specifically: the OSU game.
We were told that we could expect to be very happy this week. We were misled. Michigan football is developing a permastink in December-February.
This is one of the hardest things about our losses to OSU and the hardest things about following football right now. Football is a great sport, but for months immediately after the season it’s hard for it not to be extremely depressing.

Michigan is the #7 team in the country, playing in a top-level bowl against an SEC opponent, coming off of a season that featured delirious highs and amazing achievement, and to read this board you’d think we had a losing record.

And I feel that way, too.

Because we do have a losing record in the last 20 years against the team that matters.
Not a surprise with the performance in year 4.
This is just like the stock market.

I keep hoping for it to get better, but it just keeps on getting worse
Difference is the stock market always rebounds over time. Not sure Michigan football can say the same thing.
Oh, well. Probably would have come here and been extremely underwhelming just like every other 5 star recruit that comes to Michigan.

He'll win all the awards at OSU, so probably a good move for the kid.
^ Rashan Gary syndrome.
That’s what your “#1 overall defense” getting simultaneously skullfucked and curbstomped up and down the field will do for you.

He’s been gone since about mid-way through the third quarter of the OSU game.
Not sure why this is a surprise to anyone. The people that want to pretend that getting completely embarrassed by OSU won’t affect recruiting are hiding their heads in the sand. Program is not headed in the right direction. Instead of trips to foreign countries, how about a trip to a place this program has never been: Indianapolis.
Wash, rinse, repeat. The rivalry will never be balanced again. There are just better players in Ohio (that we have no shot at) and we have not been able to consistently keep the best players in Michigan, well, in Michigan.

BUT HEY, WE GOT JOEY VELAZQUEZ! GO TO HELL, Cincinnati and Kent State!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Because we do have a losing record in the last 20 years against the team that matters"

That sure is putting it nicely

Lets review:
FWIW, Harbaugh will be paid $5 million a year, plus incentives.

More details on the incentives in Harbaugh's contract:

-- Big Ten championship game appearance: $125,000 NOPE

-- Big Ten championship: $250,000 NOPE

-- Selected for New Years Six Bowl: $200,000 YAY OR Selected for College Football Playoff: $300,000 LOL.. NOPE

-- National Championship: $500,000 LMFAO NOPE

-- Big Ten Coach of the Year: $50,000 NOPE

-- National Coach of the Year: $75,000 NOPE

-- Academic Progress Rate (APR) of 960 or higher: up to $150,000 WHO KNOWS... DON'T CARE... PROBABLY NOPE

-- $2 million signing bonus HAHAHA
Say, Jax, what do you think of this hire?
Exactly

This supposed golden era of theirs they are romanticizing is bullshit.

1997 was a complete fluke. they lost 3-4 games on average all through the 80's and 90's.

If you want to get on top of the CFB world you have to take it away from someone else.

John Cooper isn't here to help them anymore. MSU isn't in the doldrums anymore.

Jim-Bo will get them the little brown jug back. Jury is out on beating Urban Meyer.
Jury came back. He was unable to beat Urban Meyer.

I guess the question is "what will be considered a failure?"
Sure, that is the question.... Let's review:
According to Michigan boards:

Not competing for a Big Ten championship in 2016. 3rd place was the top finish of any scUM team up to 2016

Not winning a Big Ten Championship and making playoffs by 2017 scUM did not win a B1G Championship nor make the playoffs by 2017

Not having a winning record against Ohio State in first five years. Mission Status: Failed.

Everything I'm reading is giving him one year before being at, or even above, Ohio State's level. It's been longer than that. He is not at or above
Jwins, what have you read about this?
I've read about five different prediction threads for UM and Harbaugh against his rivals. Some predict domination, others are more reserved. Many provide a ceiling and floor for his record. The floor is always .500 vs urban.
Guess they should have checked the integrity of their sub-flooring, no?
Help me out, guys...

Harbaugh is supposed to be a "quarterback whisperer". If we assume that Andrew Luck would have been an excellent quarterback regardless, then what does he have on his resume with regard to quarterback development?
Asking this question today yields the same answer:
I believe they have anointed Speight as the latest savior? @jwinslow would know for sure.
LOL. They did anoint Speight ... at some point... with predictable results.
Upon Urban kicking his ass next year, I hereby pledge to do a Photoshop of Urban driving off in a red 72 Eldorado convertible while The Harbaugh is standing on side of the road holding some steak knives.

If it comes out well, I might have it commissioned in velvet.
Did you get that commissioned?

Given Hairball's psychotic personality and general air of chaos he seems to operate within, and the fat garbageman's personality and general air of oafishness, I expect that's just one of several transfers forthcoming. Hoke was the definition of a "players coach." Hairball is the direct antithesis of that.
Transfers continue. :slappy:

Still a better QB than anything Jim-Bo has on the roster
Also still the case.
