OK, but why hold back. We're your friends. Tell us how you really feel. :-)This is kind of the point, isn't it? "It's more fun to beat good scUM" How is it even possible to be more fun beating ANY scUM team. It's like adding 1 to infinity.. There's no difference. I don't care if they field a team of 4 year olds or NFLers... I want the Buckeyes to destroy them. Period. And I'll cackle when they do.
Seriously...
Fuck em.
Serious question: when Harbaugh starts to call OSU "Ohio State" (presumably), do Michigan fans revert back to calling OSU "Ohio State?" Or are they in too deep?
Even if you assumed that the single game experience of beating them is better when they are good, you would be completely ignoring how delightful it is, week in and week out, watching them be a disaster.
Got it - and I don't disagree entirely. You have very valid points, and the landscape HAS changed significantly. I'm not that old school where I think a tsun victory and a berth to the Rose is the end goal, Woody and Bo are dead and gone. But I know what you mean.Eh, 15 years ago I'd probably agree with you. But in this modern landscape of college football, the goals have changed. "College football fans" got their wish and its playoff time. Its no longer regional, and its no longer about beating M*ch*g*n and going to the Rose Bowl.
I want EVERY possible advantage in this new national game. And a good M*ch*g*n program stealing Heisman trophy winners from Ohio is not good for TOSU.

However, the landscape still remains in that "a win is not just a win" in college football, it never has been. It still matters who you beat and how badly you beat them. "Quality wins" are big. Subjectivity is thicker than ever. OSU beating a bad tsun doesn't give us the best possible advantage when compared to OSU beating a #10 ranked tsun who is, say, in contention for a playoff berth themselves. What if the Big 12 would of had their own conference champion this year, would we still be in the playoff? I can't say for sure. Having a strong BIG does provide an advantage to becoming a national champion, as I think OSU would be the better team the majority of the time either way.The strength of your conference clearly matters as it is ultimately a factor in a teams strength of schedule.
At the end of the day, beating good teams gives OSU a better chance at at playoff/NC than beating bad teams. That's all I'm trying to say.

With apologies to Arlo Guthrie:This is kind of the point, isn't it? "It's more fun to beat good scUM" How is it even possible to be more fun beating ANY scUM team. It's like adding 1 to infinity.. LOL - couldn't agree more on that. Fuck Harbaugh and fuck TSUN.So, I think we can agree on this...
When its all said and done re Harbaugh, its just one more asshole in Ann Arbor (whore).
Good call Mikey. You notice not one of them has denied it......
Hart hinted that Harbaugh has blown his chance of ever coaching the Wolverines.
"He can say what he said and not talk about Michigan. ... There's always a coaching ladder," Hart told the Detroit Free Press. "He coached at San Diego and could have spent a (few) years at Stanford and maybe come to Michigan. But I don't know what he was thinking. It was a dumb move."
So just toeing the company line and ignoring the facts (according to Harbaugh) will get you the job at Michigan. Talk about arrogant and self serving......
Actually there is a difference. I'll be honest. My feelings for Michigan were degenerating to disdain and pity. Once again, if he turns the clown car around or not... I can let the hatred consume me completely. This is kind of the point, isn't it? "It's more fun to beat good scUM" How is it even possible to be more fun beating ANY scUM team. My new "fuck Michigan" dream is for Harbaugh to decimate their depth chart by driving off all the fat, lazy Hoke players by being such an insufferable prick and then leaving mid-rebuild after two seasons with the team in worse shape than when he came.
