Should semipro/college players be paid, or allowed to sell their stuff? (NIL and Revenue Sharing)

Doesn’t quite jive with the emerging narrative fans are spinning to rationalize recruiting losses though

Can’t be struggling to keep up with the crazy big spenders while being the third highest spender yourself.
Correct. I think Texas Tech is going to be the experiment. If they have success the money will fly like at Magic City. However, if Texas Tech fails then the money will only fly like we are at the Time Out on 155.

I thought the experiment was aTm, Miami and Oregon... 0 titles between the 3 of them. And the highest Texas Tech recruit in years(until Ojo) flamed out after one year

You prep like she suggests, you can have a lot of that which is undefeated for a lot longer. And while you're actually still an active star athlete, you don't need he bling to get it.
Yes, delayed gratification is the smart play, even (or perhaps especially) where pussy is concerned.

Yet how many young man are able or willing to delay gratification where pussy is concerned?

That's why it's undefeated.

How many are willing to delay gratification for things infinitely less gratifying than pussy?

No many. And not just at that age if we are being honest.

I'm just saying that these guys can have both. They can get the pussy while active as athletes without spending any money and if they have a bunch more money later it just expands the longevity of having lots of pussy options. When it comes to pussy, I think the short-term is a push between spending or saving/investing and the long term is better with saving/investing.

Let's be honest, they have money for both. Even a backup can make 6 figures and look like a baller in college. If say the backup TE for UK is getting $500k/yr, that gives him a lot of money to play with in Lexington and still have some leftover to invest. Ive known of girls in basketball making barely half of that and own stocks, set up a Roth IRA, have a real estate portfolio and invested in start ups. These kids aren't dumb jocks like fans are thinking. Social media has made people think that these kids are only buying range rovers and lambos.

This is not meant to be political. But how is limiting what one can earn not considered a form of socialism? If an adult is seen to be worth $5m/yr yet he's 19yo, how is it any different than a 50yo man who can be worth $5m/yr? Ive seen men in their 40s and 50s make mistakes with money just as I've seen men in their 20s make mistakes with money. And why is it anyone's business if they mess up the money that someone deemed worthy to pay them?

It sounds like a bunch of bitter middle aged and older men, who are envious that athletes at such young ages are able to earn as much if not more than their professional counterparts. Many are also envious that they couldn't earn similar amounts when they attended college

Whatever it is you do for a living, imagine the POTUS and Congress want to set a national standard for what that job can pay and it’s less than you make now.

That’s how everyone should be looking at this imo. It’s fucking outrageous. Let’s get distracted by all the gum flapping about culture wars and ignore government setting a precedent like this.

What industry is next to spend enough with lobbyists to buy wage controls? People are going to start caring when it’s the one they work in.

I don't like the system, but I'm not for wage control, I'm for contracting. Lock the players into some kind of years of service requirements and punishments/payback for reneging on them; Limit NIL benefits to once ever, "sure you can transfer schools, but you already got your NIL money, so you can't go chase more money" etc.
