Shoelace and the Heisman - where's Denard finish?

He didn't after they showed him telling RR his hand hurt.
After ruining their drive with a bobbled snap.

The point stands: if he was being a wussy quitter, why didn't he stay out after the initial injury took him out for a few series (with a long halftime inbetween them)?

Why come back out if you're just being a pansy?

I watched my reply of the game for the last time last night before I deleted it.
Not that it's any big deal, but something struck me as strange: With about a minute to go in the third, they showed a shot of DRob on the side line. He was holding his helmet, by the face mask with his left hand. Need I go on?

adrenaline wore off?

fact: In the Michigan-Ohio State game, one team's best player decided he was too injurred on his off hand to continue playing.

So when his body was no longer hiding his injury, and he was too injured to play... that's when he quit?

Not when he actually suffered the injury? Or when he decided to give it a go for a few more series?

But when the adrenaline/medicine wore off, the injury flared up again (and he had just ruined his team's drive with ball-handling). Got it.

My point is, we're not talking about Tate. He's a gamer, but very frail and wears his hardships and pain on his sleeve.

Denard hasn't quit all year, playing through an absurd amount of carries and hits for a QB. He also came back after getting knocked out of the game by Bellamy, when it would've been very easy to sit it out as a quitter.

There's also the matter of RR's reaction. The guy complains and throws temper tantrums all game long (even after TDs), yet when his only productive QB tells him he can't go, he accepts it and walks away without a hint of anger or frustration? Yeah that's likely, if indeed Denard was just wussing out.

yeah. maybe if he wasn't 98% of their offense it wouldn't be a big deal. but the biggest part of your team, in the biggest game of the year, with one of the smallest injuries I can imagine......rub some dirt on it and get back in there. it wasn't his "throwing" arm. it wasn't his legs or feet. it wasn't his head. it wasn't a broken rib. if he had to suffer an injury and he was allowed to pick where it was, I can't think of a better place to have it.

Exactly. So how could RR accept him tapping out if he wasn't really hurt? Was it the self control he regularly displays?

This is his reaction to an imperfect TD throw by Denard last week.
