Sharrif Floyd (official thread)

DL Sharrif Floyd (6-3 311) of Philadelphia was scheduled to take his official visit to USC this weekend, but he will delay that visit and his remaining two until after his football playoffs according to his coach. Another reason for the delay is Floyd wants some people close to him to join him on the visit to USC, and this weekend was not convenient.
and to visit OSU this weekend...

Floyd motivated to excel at Army Bowl

Mike Farrell
Rivals.com Football Recruiting

...
Floyd is in the middle of his senior season and has led his team to a 5-2 record so far this year. And he's also in the middle of a serious recruiting battle with schools like Florida, USC, Penn State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio State and Rutgers all in the mix. Floyd has already visited Florida and USC and was supposed to visit South Carolina this weekend, but has had a change in plans.

"I'm going to Ohio State on an official this weekend when they host Minnesota," he said. "And I have North Carolina still set up for Nov. 6. I plan on taking an official visit to South Carolina still and that will be it. There have been rumors about Michigan, but I'm not interested. I'll take my five officials to Florida, Southern Cal, Ohio State, UNC and South Carolina and take an unofficial to Penn State and figure things out from there."

Is there a favorite?

"No, not at all," he said. "Everyone thinks I favor one school or another but that's not the case. I'm keeping an open mind on all of these visits and then I'll sit down with people who are important to me and make a decision. I want to play early if I can, I want to fit into the defense and fit with the players and I want an opportunity to get a good education. Big school, program prestige, all of that doesn't matter. It's all about fit."

Floyd clarifies muddled visit situation > Palmetto Sports Recruiting News

By Chris Rodgers

DL Sharrif Floyd (6-3 311) of Philadelphia addressed his muddled visit situation today. Floyd downgraded last weekend's Penn State visit from official to unofficial "because there was a huge snowstorm up there and I wanted to get in and out quickly." Floyd's visit to USC this weekend has been cancelled for now, because he wanted to bring a teammate who hasn't passed the NCAA clearinghouse yet. He will reschedule the visit for later on in November or December. Floyd will spend the free weekend taking an official visit to Ohio State, who has entered his top 6 along with USC, Southern Cal, Florida, Penn State, and North Carolina. Floyd's other visits remain intact, including North Carolina on November 6th. He also addressed whispers that Michigan had been getting his attention saying "that's just a rumor." Floyd has been to Southern Cal and Florida already, but says none of the six schools leads for him right now.

Yeah from his SI blog, he's definitely coming.

Here's the link to this blog and an excerpt re Ohio State.

SportsIllustrated.CNN.com

In the summer, I wasn't sure I had an offer from the Buckeyes -- everyone kept telling me I did but I never got one. So I called Ohio State assistant coach Darrell Hazel and asked him if I had one. Turns out, they sent it out to me but I never got it. Maybe it was a bad address or maybe the mailman has it framed at home. I don't know. But then I got it and it's official.

I'm looking forward to checking it out and seeing the campus. I'm curious how I'd fit in, and I am eager to see what their family atmosphere is like. My visits to Florida and USC have been great, and I expect Ohio State to be no different.
