SG Luther Muhammad (transfer to Arizona St.)

Very interesting pattern........

maybe that "something" might be his shoulders this season… Last season they blamed it on the freshman wall. All I know is that the less he handles the ball in the open court for better I feel. Tries to force the issue way too much. He has been a little more selective in the past few games regarding his shot selection.

He had a should issue last season as well, which may have contributed to the "freshman wall."

As a freshman, he missed one game after dislocating his left shoulder and played the rest of the season while keeping an eye on the situation

Luther Muhammad
Last season:
7.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 steals, 37.4%, 37.5%, 75.7%, 26.6 minutes

This season: 6.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals, 38.0%, 36.0%, 84.6%, 23.7 minutes

Muhammad came out the gate last season knocking down shots, but hit a wall late in the season. He started slowly in Year Two, finally finding his touch in recent games. But he’s on the floor for his defense, and that remains a strength. He’s why Maryland’s Anthony Cowan struggled to score unless he was on the free-throw line in two games and is possibly OSU’s most important player as it faces some of the best guards in the country to close out the season.
