SF William Buford - 4 BTT Title Games, most Buckeye starts (Virtus Roma - Italy)

Yes, he is. Difference is that Buford can create hsi shot off the bounce and Diebler is a straight up spot up shooter. Buford will play at the next level.

I agree. but when comparing Jump shots, I give the edge to Deibs. Bufford is silky smooth when creating a shot though. Love them both.

WB remains me of Keith Wilkes. He is smooth as silk. JD might have a longer range but WB has that little midrange jumper that will get him to the next level. However, as you say, I love them both also.

Off-topic: the Flyers didn't do so well against Richmond.

You might know that William Buford is the starting guard for the No. 1-ranked Ohio State basketball team, but you might not know that he is a quiet student, a below average ping-pong player, loves the kids' meal at Raising Canes and his car could use a trip to the shop.

Buford arrived at Central Classroom Building at 10:32 a.m. Monday. He walked briskly up the stairs on the right to get to his 10:30 a.m. class, Swahili 102.

Even though he arrived a few minutes after the bell, students were still settling in and Buford found his seat in the middle of the room without causing a disruption. He is not the only recognizable athlete in the class, as football players Jaamal Berry, Mike Adams and Michael Brewster were also in attendance.

Buford talked with Berry while the professor distributed a graded quiz.

"Most of the athletes, we stay together and try to be close," Buford said.

As the last quiz was handed out and class lecture began, the talking stopped. Buford took notes and did not talk again until the opportunity to work in groups arose.

"I'm pretty shy in class. I really don't say too much," Buford said. "I try to stay out of the way and get my work done."

As class came to a close, Buford checked with a classmate to make sure he was clear on the assignment for the next class.

"Seventy-two sentences?" he said, shocked at the amount of work.

That graphic is shitty, but still somehow funny. The whole cut-off head thing (especially the expressions) just puts it over the top. Gotta love student-run stuff like that.
The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the Buford/Lighty side-by-side was South Park's Terrance & Phillip.

Buford is playing his best basketball. After knocking down a big three in the second half, Buford was get back up the court when he saw Matta pointing in his direction. As big as the shot was, he wasn?t getting props from the head coach. Instead, Matta was telling Buford not take the play off on defense. It?s a little reminder of how far Buford has come since he got to Columbus, and he is playing his best basketball as a junior.

Not only are his overall numbers up from his first two seasons, but Buford has been the guy to carry the team when Sullinger can?t do it alone. Jon Diebler and David Lighty have both had their moments, but Buford has become the guy to take and make big shots in the wake of Evan Turner.

His scoring average is down less than a point from last year, but he?s playing five fewer minutes every game. He has also battled some health issues, as well as a tweaked ankle, but Buford is shooting a higher percentage from the field (46%), behind the arc (43.4%) and at the free throw line (81.6%) than he did last year. His assist/turnover ratio is also among the top 15 in the conference. He has made 20 of 23 free throw attempts in Big Ten play, and is shooting over 54-percent from behind the arc against the conference.

He is putting on a good campaign for the pro's.

I would love to see him stay for 4 years. But he could be a top 15 pick this year.

My thoughts exactly.

I'll say it now. If Ohio State didn't have so many weapons as a team offensively Buford could score 20+ a game easily. He's one Buckeye I'll miss a ton when he leaves. I'm just hopeful that we get one more year.

Great game last night by Buford. His game has become very complete if you ask me and I think it will translate very well in the pros...but what I like best is how far he's come on defense. Any remember watching him play defense his freshmen year? I think he'll continue to step up and be our "go-to" guy come tourney time. Big time player!
