SF William Buford - 4 BTT Title Games, most Buckeye starts (Virtus Roma - Italy)

has the ability to play 2 or 3 and defend small 4s like what we saw out of cook. both have very nice set of paws...

I think that Buford has that one thing that Cook didnt have when he came to playing D...And that is desire...From watching him play in an AAU game, where you usually don't expect players to get down and play hard nosed defense, run up and down the court on every trip, even after a long weekend of playing about 5 or 6 games or so...All this shows desire...

The star for the Georgia Stars name escapes me right now, but he was non existant, due to some laziness and being tired from the weekend...

Good to hear. Maybe Crater will get some relief at the PG after all. Buford showing a lot of versatility certainly will help

I really don't see Buford playing the PG...I am not saying he can't distribute the ball like a point, or bring the ball up the court, but IMO his game is better suited off the ball and coming off screens, and playing on the wing and in transistion...

I was just taking my info from the link provided in post 186. It states there that Buford played some PG at Camp and did quite well.

I know...:wink2:

I was just pointing out that I see his game much more fit for off the ball that at the pg spot...Unless of course there is an emergency...

But with Crater and Offut to go along with guys that will man the positions at time this year in Diebler and Turner we will be fine...

Not to get off topic, but watch out for Turner next year......immediate impact player that most in Ohio do not know enough about...but he is ready to play and start right now in my opinion. He will get stronger over the summer and he will get quality minutes next year.

Now....back to Buford.
The Lighty, Turner, Diebler, Buford rotation at the 2-3 will be very tough for opponents to deal with both offensively and defensively. I'd imagine that our group of swing men will be amongst the best in the nation 2008-11.
Best swingman since Benny Goodman :) I am probably dating myself:(

Is John Goodman, Benny's brother ? I look forward to seeing all of these guys in S&G. I watched the King James final on Fox sports Ohio and Buford looked like a quiet assasin type, he looked tired (2-3 games a day for 3-4 days will do that) but he kept his team in it by his solid play on both ends of the floor and before I knew it he had 17-20 points.
