SF William Buford - 4 BTT Title Games, most Buckeye starts (Virtus Roma - Italy)

King James: Final notebook

rivals$ (l'ville site)
April has been a good month for William Buford. The Ohio State bound guard quietly did damage in Pittsburgh last weekend. In Akron , he picked apart defenses as good as any guard in the country. He put his D1 Greyhounds on his shoulders and put the team into the finals of two deep tournaments on consecutive weekends.

Buford torched the Florida Rams for 27 points and scored any way he wanted. Buford doesn't force shots and rarely took a bad attempt. He connected from deep, in the midrange, at the rim, from the line and kept the Rams on their heels because his versatility on offense.

Nearly every team he played said he was the toughest player to defend in the tournament. That is a true statement.

Continued (other players)...
i can't wait.

Just got done watching the finals from the king James AAU tournament in which Buford's team lost 56-52...

You could tell that both teams were somewhat tired, and that really effected Buford and his teammate Miller, as the Georgia Stars ran a triangle and 2 and follwed them two all over the court...It caused Buford to miss a couple easy shots, putbacks and some 3's...

But when Buford did get free he didnt dissapoint, he has a pure stroke from behind the arc, gets good elevation on his jumper, scores real well off the bounce, scores around the rim...Not really an above the rim type guy as Cook was, but he has the perimeter game, mid range game...He also is out on the break every time, back on defense every time, up in his man's face on defense...He is also a strong rebounder from his wing position...

He reminds me a little of Wayne Ellington from UNC, but he has more of a mid range game than he has...

Our 08' class is seriously unreal...

i told you that when everyone was super pumped about the thad five, the 08 version has the potential to be better...

Well the Thad 5 was here first, and lets not forget about the 07 class, b/c I think they get overlooked some, but they are talented, just not rated as high as the 06 and 08 class...But IMO the 08 class should have 4 McDonald's all americans...

Buford is so silky smooth, has a great jumper and will be a great wing here...

Mullens is Just great...He won't make people forget about Greg, but they will be comparing him to Greg...

From reports this past weekend, Crater managed the game very well and hit shots when he team needed it...

Offut has returned to form after his knee injury and Babbitt will be a matchup nightmare for teams as he will step outside hit the 3 and also has a nice inside game...

Potential, but unlikely IMO.

Although their rankings are comparable, we just finished #2 in the nation and might have 3 NBA drafts as freshman. That's hard to top.
