SF LaQuinton Ross (Memphis Hustle - NBA G-League)

Best of luck Q. I guess you need to do what you need to do. Hopefully, you will be able to support your daughter by signing a contract somewhere. I think a lot of us were surprised that you chose Ohio State but in hindsight we are very happy that you did.
Good luck in your future endeavors! You will always be a Buckeye.

An article over at 11W is titled "Ross the Fattest Player at NBA Combine." I mention it only as an example of how far that website has fallen recently. There's still some great writers on 11W, but IMO that site did itself a terrible disservice by expanding.

Broader point is, good luck to LaQuinton.

Ross says "You only have to get one team to like you" to get picked in the first round. But you have to get one team to pick you, therein lies the problem. I hope it works out for him but I don't see the first round in his future, I am worried he has eaten his way out of being selected at all. He compares himself to Wilson Chandler, statistically his junior year was pretty similar to Chandler's sophomore year at DePaul although Ross scored a bit more, Chandler averaged an extra rebound, almost a block a game more and had almost twice as many assists.
