Have you seen the new architecture building....what an eye sore that is! The architect of that building needs to flogged. sorry.
I have to disagree there.
While it does not quite fit the theme of the rest of campus, I love the building.
Its incredably unique, fun to walk around, and looks awesome lit up at night.

David Lighty on Mend
By Jeff Goodman National Recruiting Analyst
Date: Mar 28, 2005

David Lighty's season ended prematurely and the standout wing will miss the entire summer. However, the 6-4 junior is recovering and in good spirits after suffering a torn ACL in the postseason.
Lighty averaged 24.5 points and 12 boards per game and established himself as one of the elite players in the Class of 2006. David says all the schools have been supportive, Syracuse sent him a get well card signed by the team. There is a chance he will take an unofficial trip to Syracuse when he is able to walk on his knee.

I would have to say that OSU is the team to beat in this race.

Seemed to be a heavily slanted article.......He will visit Syracuse, Ohio State and Michigan at this point but is interested Arizona, Florida, Georgia Tech and North Carolina.

David says he has no leaders and is wide open.
I didnt think it was that slanted, for a TTUN article. Some sites are far worse.
There are two telling things in his comments.

1. of course playing with cook
2. early PT

in the case of #2, Sullinger will be a senior next year and gone when lighty gets to osu.

As far as competition, he has none at osu really. at ttun he has walker in the class of 2005 at his position, and cuse landed 2 top SF in their 2003 class which will most certainly leave him riding the pine there for a year. OSU is in pretty good shape I think.

I couldn't agree more. I think playing with Cook, Butler & Terwillinger has to be tempting. That, and I'm sure there is some draw to staying in state and having everyone watch him play.

All in all, I think that Cook's commitment could be a real positive snowball for tOSU's bball program. Kids see one 5 star recruit commit and they see potential. I like!

44820 YOUR KILLING ME! Cook, done. Conley & Lighty? Could you say we sit in the drivers seat for these two studs? What do you think the chances of both commiting to us by June are? Man if we land those two, yes now I'm geedy, really greedy, I love the odd's of the big Fella joining them @:osu: if he can pass up being the #1 pick in the league:tongue2: ! I'm about ready to fall off my chair doing a Fred Sanford, I feel my ticker pounding, could be the big one, Ethyl, I may be coming...

I should give you greenies for that...

Actually, it's hard not to get a little fired up about basketball recruiting now that Thad has got us in on the top talent in the state, and the top talent in the state also happens to be the top talent in the country (plus Conley and Oden)...

Forgive my "excitement" but when was the last time tOSU was in on the top prospect in the entire country & top two point guard, both of whom are OUT OF STATE! If we landed those two players to go w/ Cook & Lighty I would have to change my name from gsnuts to d'snuts as we would finally have some folks other than Dials to be able to give the opposition a sniff!!

Can we call them the feared 5? Upon further review, I'd just like to avoid sounding like UM if at all possible, especially considering the perception of our university these days and how it will look to the trolls at ESPN when all of these players hop on board.

I think the feared 5 sounds about right.....

gsnuts.....I think we are Lighty's leader at this point, he has not stated such, its just the impression I have at this point, keep in mind he has not named a leader. As far as, Conley goes, I believe we are sitting at 55% for his services, I know he has said Wake is his leader but since Cook's verbal things have changed and I think he wants to play closer to home due to his parents wanting the same. I think he is torn between Wake and OSU, but in my opinion we have about a 55% chance of landing him.

I think Lighty will be the next prospect to verbal and it will be within the next few months. Conley might take a little longer but the longer the wait, the better our chances our for his services. Having him visit OSU after Wake is key.

From the Arizona site....Lighty is a top prospect they are interested in. He might be their top target for shooting guard. They describe him as a catch and shoot type of player who can also get to the rim when he wants.
