Haven't spent time in a slaughterhouse but I'm guessing it's as gruesome as the name suggests.

Oh I agree, just pointing out that the animals we eat don't always live pampered lives of luxury, and that from the perspective of the animal it doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of difference why it's happening.

The kid in the story is most likely going to end up behind bars someday.

I've been following this thing on the Miami Herald website. That kid needs to be locked up and monitored for life, because you know he has serial killer written all over him... just like the Boston Strangler. Have fun getting ass [censored]ed and bitch slapped in Miami Dade County Jail.
