SEC (It just means more.. even its losses are wins)

What a nut punch to aggy. Aggy is like a kid who gets away from his high school bully by going off to the state flagship thinking he's left the bully behind at the local commuter school, starts to feel pretty good about himself and kind of come into his own, only to check in to his dorm for Spring Semester and find that the bully has transferred and is living down the hallway.

So, silver lining?

I still don't think it happens. This is OU and tejas going to the SEC with their cups out, not the SEC approaching them. They could be doing it for leveraging a better B12 deal. Tejas is just arrogant and stupid enough to think that they could lure the B1G and PAC into a bidding war for them. Plus, you have to factor in the SEC hesitancy regarding the LHN (though this might be an espn move to rid themselves of that albatross) and tejas' well known cancer in the locker room. Aggy, Mizzou, Arky and LSU I assume would be no thought no votes on letting tejas in. Some other schools like Florida, SC and Georgia might vote no in a move to insulate themselves from ever having another in-state school invited.

all they did was swap Bullies.

I’m a no because it means Auburn and Bama probably move to the east side of the division.

Just sayin': The obvious realignment with Texas and Oklahoma would be....

1) Texas and Oklahoma goes in the SEC West
2) Missouri moves to the SEC West
3) Alabama* and Auburn moves to the SEC East

* Kentucky, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt wouldn't give a shit since they know they wouldn't win the division anyway. However, do you really think that Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee would ever vote for that one?.......

The only was the SEC would approve Texas and Oklahoma is to create 4 divisions and the division winners play in 2 Conference Championship Semi-final Games and the semi-final winners play in in the SEC CCG:

East: Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, and South Carolina
Central: Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt
South: LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Arkansas
West: Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas A&M

:slappy:

I’d prefer to play Auburn every year again, so bammer schools to the East is fine. I don’t want to lose LSU. We have developed a decent hate for each other, and almost every game is a last minute heart attack producer, no matter how much we or they suck.

Texas to SEC is fine - if for no other reason than I despise Aggy….and they will HATE it that the Sips are in the SEC.

It could be done in three steps.

  • Flip Missouri to the West and move Alabama and Auburn to the East.
  • Go to a nine-game (7-2) conference schedule.
  • Eliminate the permanent cross-division game.

fuck ALL of this.

I’m not at all opposed to letting them in.

but no fucking way in hell am i good with us losing all of our good annual rivalries to pick a pair of teams we have almost no history with.
While anyone else with any sort of historical relevance to the conference being in opposite division.
Fucking Kennedy was still alive last time anyone i that proposed West division other than us won the SEC.

i want to continue playing Bama, Auburn, and Florida every year.

I have no desire to be in the old SWC.
