SEC (It just means more.. even its losses are wins)

SEC Will Not Reschedule Games Due to COVID-19 Outbreaks in 2021

On the first day of SEC Media Days on Monday, commissioner Greg Sankey made it clear that teams need to get their players vaccinated. If they don't, it could cost them a win.

Sankey announced that unlike last season, games will no longer be rescheduled in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak on a team before a scheduled game. Sankey didn't commit to any specifics, but this could mean a team with an outbreak may be forced to forfeit or the game will just be declared a no-contest.

Just sayin': If you game against Alabama is cancelled due to COVID-19 is it considered a win, i.e. at least it is avoiding a loss?

Just listened the first minute of this shitshow song by LANCO called I Need a Beer.

There is a line that is, "I need a ring for my team...yeah keep it in the SEC."

Imagine rooting for a team (aka Bama) that kicks your actual team's ass every year. I will never understand that conference pride shit from the Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, etc. fans.

Sorry, I am going back to yelling at clouds.

I don't know about the SEC, but it would damn well kill the Big XII. If Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC would you have to expand the CFPs to 14 (not 12) to accommodate the 2 additional SEC schools?....

Actually I say it won't happen, Texas won't give up their financial advantage (Longhorn Network and bigger share of the conference $$$s*) that they have in the Big XII.

*
Big 12 schools share half of their television revenue, with the other portion set aside. That money is then distributed -- with the schools that play in more televised men's basketball and football games, receiving a greater share of the pot.
Schools also earn a greater share of funding for participating and advancing in the NCAA basketball tournaments.
Schools like Texas and Oklahoma, which have the majority of their games on television, receive bigger television checks than schools like Baylor and Iowa State, which are rarely televised.

Also, nothing could happen before the 2025 season due to the Big XII grant-of-rights** agreement that Texas and Oklahoma signed off on.

** Oklahoma and Texas signed a Big 12 grant-of-rights agreement, in which they granted their first- and second-tier media rights for football and men's basketball to the conference through June 30, 2025. That means the Big 12 would still own those schools' media rights for those sports -- even if they are no longer members -- until the agreement expires.

What a nut punch to aggy. Aggy is like a kid who gets away from his high school bully by going off to the state flagship thinking he's left the bully behind at the local commuter school, starts to feel pretty good about himself and kind of come into his own, only to check in to his dorm for Spring Semester and find that the bully has transferred and is living down the hallway.

It’s like Van Damme when he found out they transferred the Sandman to the prison he had infiltrated
