/threadDon't kid yourself about UGA.
When I was late teens, early 20s I traveled a lot throughout The South
Would go to a lot of Cattle auctions, so it was actually mostly wealthy "Southern Gentlemen" who were alumni of SEC schools.
Not stupid rich Oil tycoons. More old school property type wealth.
There is a reason this little cluster here is what most outside of the region refer to as the "Deep South"

This group all have that distinctive southern drawl.
They all try to present themselves publicly as "good God-Fearing Christians"
They all talk about each other behind their backs, but embrace each other when together.
And while the racism isn't nearly as thick as the stereotypes suggest, it is definitely still alive and well.
That's your top 5.
South Carolina is 6th, and could realistically be 1st. If not for the "look at me I'm from the South" attitudes of the top 5.
I mean they're freaking South Carolina. Started Secession. First shots of the war, etc.
But the state is actually pretty awesome. Clean beaches in the East. Mountains in the west.
Charleston is a cool city. Great weather, etc.
LSU would probably be next by default.
But really, we get lumped in with the rest just due to our location.
Arkansas and Mizzou are Big XII at heart. They just won't admit it.
That's why their so pissed Texas is coming to the SEC.
Tennessee and Kentucky are hillbillies more like West Virginia than the rest of the South.
Vandy is Ivy League that happens to be located in a great Southern City.
Florida is a never ending episode of Jersey Shore being filmed in Gainesville.
Texas A&M is dead last, because Homosexuality is still frowned upon in the rest of the Bible Belt.
