I actually think it comes down to OSU & Minnesota. Urban Meyers about face has turned off SH's dad. USC and Lane Kiffin? No relationship there. Miami is a little too far away and ate to the game. ND & Coach Kelly? late to the game from a relationship stand point. That leaves JT and Coach Brewster to slug it out. Both have been at SH from the start. JT & OSU show stability and Brewster has the home town edge. In the end I think the Bucks win this one. All the recent coaching changes help.....Big time.

Recruiting: Who Is Left?
By Braden Gall
Published: January 21st, 2010

With less than two weeks until National Signing Day 2010, Athlon takes an in-depth look at the top 10 uncommitted prospects left on the board (number is AC100 rank):
1. Seantrel Henderson, OL (St. Paul, Minn.)
Henderson?s hold on the No. 1 slot in the Athlon Consensus 100 has loosened quite a bit over the last few weeks. Ronald Powell (Rancho Verde, Calif.) made a huge statement with his performance in the U.S. Army Bowl and has closed the gap significantly. The big blocker from Cretin-Derham Hall is still an outstanding player but whether or not he holds tops billing come Feb. 3rd remains to be seen. (Stay tuned to Athlon Sports next week as the final AC100 will be released.)

Where he will be playing his ball is also up in the air. He has taken four of his five official visits: Ohio State, USC, Notre Dame and Florida. Interesting to note, his two visits to Ohio State and Notre Dame were actually for the USC games respectively. Both of which the Trojans won in exciting fashion. His final visit will be to Miami (Fla.) on Jan. 29th. Again, interestingly enough, the weekend of the Pro Bowl.

He has unofficially visited Oklahoma, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa and Minnesota. The hometown Gophers have to be in the mix. The Pete Carroll departure probably hurt the Trojans' chances. Ohio State and USC appear to be the front runners but one can never count out the Irish or Gators. The Buckeyes are the only team not to deal with some sort of coaching turmoil this offseason.

The nation?s top player is set to sign his letter of intent on NSD with Tom Lemming on CBS College Sports (TV).

Seantrel Henderson schedules final college visit

Last update: January 21, 2010 - 1:45 PM

As the Feb. 3 signing day nears, Cretin-Derham Hall lineman Seantrel Henderson -- whose 18th birthday is today -- has scheduled his fifth and final official recruiting visit.

He has already made official visits to USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida. His last official visit will be to the University of Miami the last weekend in January. That will be Pro Bowl weekend in Miami.
He has made unofficial visits to Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin and Michigan State.

Henderson plans to announce his decision on signing day, appearing on a television show hosted in New York City by recruiting expert Tom Lemming. Henderson's profile went through the roof when Lemming named him the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2010. The signing-day show will be aired on CBS College Sports.

Farrel said in that link that Henderson was a "Strong USC lean" before Carrol bolted for the Seahawks. Just trying to be more dramatic or do you think that's true?

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up there. I don't put that much weight in his father's "public" objections about the recruiting process....at the end of the day it will be the kids decision. Lately I'm hearing more and more talk about him being a Trojan. I hope OSU can get him...but I wouldn't call them the leader for his services.
