Seantrel Henderson (Buffalo Bills)

Hasn't dad since said that it's the school more than the coach? That led me to believe that coaching stability is not as important to dad as "the school."

I can't deliver an exact quote, but it was along the line of a coach can change schools at any time during a player's career so it's not as much the coach as it is comfort with the school atmosphere.

Thank goodness that OSU won the Rose Bowl and that seemed to shut up the 'Fire Tressel' contingent that has become more vocal over the last three years. Idiots that they are. Maybe that BCS win signaled a change in OSU fortunes on the gridiron as well as 'closing the deal' with the OOS 5*'s. Here's hoping. The Rose win, plus Penn St's win, as well as Iowa (and I expect the close losses of the others), seemed to signifiy that the B10 is 'back' in the eyes of the public. (Didn't realize we had gone anywhere).

Big Ten was at the bottom with 1-6 bowl record in 2008. What most people fail to understand that college football conference strength is a year to year thing. With an individual team, however, good coaching and talent can dominate a conference for 4-6 years.

I'm not one of those idiots but I did feel frustrated at JT after Purdue and boy do I feel silly now. Given how close N.Suh was to winning the Heisman this year, here's hoping that Seantrel comes to Columbus and adds to our Heisman winner list soon.:osu:

Top recruits still eyeing handful of schools
Posted on: January 19, 2010 3:46 pm

With just two weeks to go before National Signing Day, some of the biggest high school players in the country still haven't decided where to sign.

Offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson, MaxPreps.com No. 1 player, is looking at Ohio State, Notre Dame, Southern California, Florida and Miami (Fla.), Iowa and Minnesota. Cleveland.com reports Henderson had taken four visits with Miami still to go.

from the video above, Seantrel's father seems to view a lot of coaches recruiting his son as used car salesmen types... that's probably a pretty good attitude to have, especially when you consider what is going on in at least two of the major schools that are recruiting him

More quotes from Papa Henderson about all the coaching changes and the negative affect they've had on Seantrels recruitment... The major factors in the final decision will be Seantrels overall comfort level and the relationships he develops with the coaches and players...
