Type 'Seantrel Henderson' into Facebook and the first three entries are: South Carolina wants Seantrel Henderson, Seantrel Henderson should stay in MINNESOTA and Seantrel Henderson Please Come To Florida State. Henderson, the top-rated player by Rivals.com, is not considering any of those schools.

"It's crazy how technology is these days, everybody knows you and you don't even know them," Henderson said. "I'm like, wow, I can go here and people are saying Seantrel Henderson. It's a crazy experience. I accept everybody but it starts adding up. I have 1,400 friend requests right now."

Two players OSU recruited choose to go elsewhere
Sunday, January 10, 2010 3:40 AM
By Tim May

...
Now, thoughts turn to the last three weeks of the recruiting season, which culminates Feb. 3, the first day national letters of intent may be signed.

At the top of Ohio State's list will be two offensive linemen who also played in yesterday's game, Seantrel Henderson of St. Paul, Minn., and Matt James of Cincinnati Xavier. The 6-8, 300-pound Henderson is the No. 1 overall prospect in the country, according to Rivals.com, He has been likened to former Ohio State tackle Orlando Pace, who started as a freshman.

His top six schools, in no particular order, are considered to be Ohio State, Southern California, Notre Dame, Florida, the University of Miami and Oklahoma. He is not expected to announce his decision until Feb. 3.
James is still considering four schools -- Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida and Cincinnati, in no particular order -- and has not said when he will decide.

Henderson came in a marked man and not only lived up to the hype but was even better than expected.

A buddy of mine just met Marcus Hall, Johnny Newsome and Duron Carter. They all seemed very confident that we were gonna land Seantrel. They said that they have gotten pretty close to him during the recruiting process and talk to him almost daily. Just thought I'd pass this along....

They also said....Ted Ginn, Sr. is flippin' mad at Latwan right now. I guess that goes without saying.

No. 1 recruit Seantrel Henderson will announce college choice Feb. 3 in New York

Cretin-Derham Hall standout offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson will travel to New York to announce his college decision on Feb. 3, the first day of the national signing period, his father told the Pioneer Press today.
Henderson, the 6-foot-8, 338-pound All-American who is rated as the nation's top recruit, will announce his college choice on Tom Lemming's cable television show on CBS College Sports. Lemming is a national recruiting expert.

"That's the place where we want to be to make the announcement,'' said Sean Henderson, Seantrel's father. "It feels right to do it there.'' Henderson still is deciding among eight colleges, according to his father. Sean Henderson said none of the eight has the edge over another.

Henderson took officials visits to Ohio State, Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Southern California. He took unofficial visits to Iowa and Minnesota. Another school under serious consideration is Miami.
...
"All eight schools are neck and neck,'' Sean Henderson said. "The pressure is on, no doubt. It is a race against time. We could push it past Feb. 3, but we don't want to do that.''

why do i feel like USC is out but it will only take one call from urban to sway him to FLA?
Frankly, if all it takes is one call, they can have him. Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting Henderson would make such a decision lightly at all...the opposite, actually... But, if a guy can be so easily swayed, the "flags" go up, IMO.

I don't mean to get off topic on Anderson, but why would Ginn Sr. be mad at Latwan? If he wasn't qualified at OSU, he couldn't have committed to us in any event. If he was academically qualified, he simply chose WVU over OSU because he thought it was a better fit for him. Ginn Sr. may be ticked off, but if he thought about it he might realize that it's kind of like the college equivalent of choosing Glenville over St. Ed's.

USC still on lineman Henderson's list after Carroll's departure
By JOHN MILLEA, Star Tribune
Last update: January 11, 2010 - 9:46 PM

Pete Carroll's decision to leave USC and take over as coach of the Seattle Seahawks has not taken the Trojans off Seantrel Henderson's recruiting list, the father of the Cretin-Derham Hall offensive lineman said Monday. "Maybe it's the best thing for somebody like Seantrel or other recruits," Sean Henderson said. "Maybe USC gets a clean slate now, gets some new guys in there and this becomes a new USC."

Seantrel Henderson, who was named the national offensive player of the year by USA Today last month, received another national honor last week when he was named the recipient of the Anthony Munoz Lineman of the Year award during the U.S. Army All-American bowl in San Antonio. "We're more concerned with the fact that he gets close to a lot of these coaches," Sean Henderson said. "What's important are the relationships between him and the line coaches."

Seantrel Henderson spoke with USC offensive line coach Jim Ruel last week, according to his father. "We haven't heard back from anybody at USC since then. We're waiting to hear who replaces [Carroll] and what the staff will look like."

Henderson has made official visits to USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida. Also on his list are Oklahoma, Miami, Iowa and Minnesota, and his fifth visit has not been determined. That decision will be made soon, Sean Henderson said. "We're sitting back right now waiting to see what happens with everything," he said.
