Scooter's annual football parking thread

I got a parking spot on Chittenden in front of my house if anyone wants it for free. I was saving it for someone else, but he does not need it anymore. My house is right off High Street, its only about a 15 minute walk through campus to get to the shoe. It's also very easy to get on I71 from Chittenden. Im sure there will be no takers, but thought I would share.

Do you charge for the flipping and burning treatment? Or is that free?

Actually, Chittenden has cleaned up since the riots. I have had no problems of that sort. The Gateway project tOSU put in nearby has helped. Your car would be just as safe there, as it would anywhere else. No one has to take it, I was just mentioning a free parking spot.

[EDIT - HERE IS THE 2008 INFO]

With Game One all of 6 days away, I thought it a good time to address the changes in parking at OSU and the tailgating rules for the upcoming year.

If you get the Sunday Dispatch, you likely saw all fo teh changes. If you choose live thousands of miles away and don't get the Dispatch, you've got me.

Friday night parking for RV's is now forbidden. Anyone showing up prior to Saturday morning at 5am will be directed to the fairgrounds, wher you will be charged $22 for overnight parking with water and electrical hookups. This $22 is in addition to the $50 you will pay to park in the Buckeye lot on Fred Taylor Drive on Gameday.

RV's will also not be able to lineup on Fred Taylor heading soutbound to the Gray lot (Bill Davis/Jesse Owens) before 5am. If you come down the street before 5am, a kind OSU ploice officer will wave you on and tell you to keep circling unto 5am.

The Gray lot is now Season pass only. No day of game passes will be accepted or sold at this lot.

Most other questions can be answered here.

The parking map can be found here.

Here is a layout of the stadium, to help you choose the closest parking lot to your overpriced seats

As always, if you have any questions, just post here or PM me. I'll try to give you the best answer I can to make your trip the Horseshoe the best it can be and to reduce my headaches on game day as much as possible.

And don't shoot the messenger.

Well... maybe we wouldn't.... but I think we should... because its "Scooter's" parking thread... if it had just been the parking thread... I can see where it wouldn't be your fault... but its Scooter's thread... so... maybe... just maybe... Scooter ought to take a little responsibility for its content.

I don't make the rules AKAK. I just enforce them.
