This is true. However, my favorite scenario in all of this involved TSUN firing RichRod, then begging Harbaugh to come and then Harbaugh telling them to pound sand and going to San Fran instead. That would be so CHOICE.

Not exactly far fetched -- Stanford dropped a huge package of incentives, ready to go toe-to-toe with Michigan and the 49ers are ready to begin putting their offer on the table as soon as the Orange Bowl game ends. So Michigan will have to a) fire Rich Rod and drop 2.1 million. b) out bid Stanford c) out bid San Francisco d) sell the news to a faculty, university, state that is suffering through the worst economic times since the depression. Is Brandon part of the Flying Wallendas?

Then they settle on Mike Haywood--there is your shame of the century.

I agree. That would be glorious. Before Saturday, I didn't think this was a possiblity, as I thought UM would only have fired RR if they had Harbaugh lined up. But after that debacle against Miss. St., RR's putrid coaching has forced UM's hand and rendered the bolded above a distinct possibility.

What's the out-of-pocket expense if they wait until after next year to let him go?

I would hope that OSU fans would be tired of beating up on the hapless TSUN, and would be ready for some real competition.

I mean, for the past three years, it's been like beating up the slow, stupid kid on the block.

That's only fun for so long.

Until we can finally shut them up, we must keep destroying them.

They hold a 13 game lead on the head to head series (and they aren't shy about bringing it up)

They hold the largest margin of victory at 86 (something that probably won't ever be broken while Tressel is coach)

They hold the longest consecutive win streak at 9 games. (and they aren't shy about bringing it up)

They have 5 more Big 10 championships than Ohio State (and they aren't shy about bringing it up)

They claim 4 more National Titles than we do.

Until they get all these, the superiority complex scUM fans have, will not go away.

Dave Brandon conducts an incisive,deep,no-stone-left-unturned review of RR's program and then it will go something like this;
DB: "c'mon in coach"
RR: "Thanks Dave"
DB: "you're fired"
RR: "ok"

Obviously Haywood has some major off the field issues; however, (those issues aside) he still is a pretty good coach.

Query: does anyone really want a coach with a weak pimp hand?

No, probably not; Mike Haywood will (and should) be out of coaching now for a very long time. However, my point was (solely based on coaching abilities) Haywood is probably an improvement over DickRod.
