San Francisco 49ers (official thread)

Harbaugh looks shellshocked. Game over, man. Game over.

They might be 1-3 Thursday night. They need to make a move to acquire some receivers, or this season is going to snowball out of control in a hurry. Kaepernick has ZERO help right now. D's are just loading up the box and pinning their ears back. D-front hasn't done much today either, and they're looking at losing Aldon Smith for a while too. Might be a victim of the dreaded "SB loser hangover".

Other than losing by 20 at home, not being able to complete a forward pass for the 2nd week in a row, Willis getting hurt, and Aldon leaving the team indefinitely, the 9ers had a heck of a day yesterday

Admittedly, this is just sour grapes, but I don't really understand why 31 teams can't put a finger on a receiver without getting a flag thrown, and the Seahawks are allowed to UFC fight receivers up and down the football field

I'll tell you this, watching this game, it remains glaringly obvious this team needs help at WR in the WORST way. All Kaep has is Davis in the seam or Boldin along the sideline. That's it. Not one other WR on this roster is even remotely capable of getting open. I don't know if the plan is just to try to scrape by until Crabtree is back, or what, but the passing game is gonna range from mediocre to dreadful until they find somebody else that can get open.

Defense is looking beastly again, though. Which is nice...

Offensively, they look like I expected the clowns to this year. They need to un-fuck Kaep, you can see the confidence oozing out of him, and need to catch fire when Crabtree makes it back (if he's near 100%), or it's gonna be a struggle to make the playoffs. They are just a shit show offensively right now. Thank God for playing Schaub.
