Not that it belongs in this thread, but I hate when announcers (like they were during the game) whine about stadiums for teams. If an owner wants a new stadium then fucking open up your wallet and build it. Quit putting it on the taxpayer when all they get out of it is higher taxes, tickets, and concessions.

He did, and I loved that pick. Hopefully he can contribute. Brooks is a good pass rusher, as is Justin Smith so long as he doesn't fall off a cliff. Picks from last year like Lemonier and Tank Carradine should help too. I think they'll be alright.

Definitely going to be interesting to see how they make up for the loss of Bowman and Smith, who are arguably 2 of the top 10 defensive players in THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (tm Mark Schlereth)

If their defense is still pretty good it's a huge credit to Fangio and Baalke

49ers DL Ray McDonald charged with felony domestic violence

San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Ray McDonald has been arrested and charged with felony domestic violence, according to NBC Bay Area. He was booked at 5:30 a.m. Sunday for "inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant," reports the Sacramento Bee.

The NFL announced this past week the new punishment for those who are involved in domestic violence disputes. In the wake of the Ray Rice two-game suspension news that was met with derision, the league said a player would be suspended for six games for the first offense. The second offense would bring a lifetime ban.
But McDonald could face a harsher first-time punishment.

Alleged victim is pregnant. Goodell cited pregnant victims as criteria for harsher punishment.
According to the Bee, McDonald was having a birthday party that stretched into Sunday morning. When police arrived at 2 a.m., officers said she showed them she was bruised by McDonald. That's when he was arrested.

The 49ers defense, meanwhile, already will start the season without linebackers Navarro Bowman (still recovering from a gruesome knee injury from the 2013 season) and Aldon Smith (nine-game suspension).

I don't mind the Packers because SF has awesome games vs. them, but I really want the Seahawks to shit the bed so we can stop hearing about the fucking 12th man. Enough already. We fucking get it. Talk about the insane roster the team has for once. I hate the Seahawks. Go field implosion.
