Colerain at Lakota East

WHEN/WHERE: 7:30 p.m. today, Lakota East HS, 6840 Lakota Lane
RECORDS: Colerain 2-1 (0-0 GMC), Lakota East 2-1 (0-0)

WHAT TO WATCH: Colerain has beaten Kentucky Class AAA state champion Highlands (45-14) and Texas 5A Division I champ Tyler Lee (27-12) in consecutive weeks. QB Gary Pride (266 yards rushing, three TDs) and RB Terrence Sherrer (260 yards, three TDs) lead Colerain, while LB Tyler Moeller has five sacks. Lakota East is led by workhorse RB Paul Bowen (381 yards rushing, five TDs) and LB Jason Rooney (four sacks).

BOTTOM LINE: Colerain has won 35 straight Greater Miami Conference games, and the streak will continue.

I talked to Tyler last night. He's pretty excited! I passed along all of the congrats he has received from PB'er and Tyler expressed his gratitude.

He's a pretty shy kid and has turned down a ton of interview requests as he wants to concentrate on Lakota East.

OSU couldn't have found a more humble and hard working kid then Tyler Moeller. Congrats to both and continued success!

how is his speed, could he play ss, fs or is he locked in as a lb

He ran an electronically timed 4.52 40 at the UC football camp this summer...Tyler has the frame to put on 25-30 good pounds of muscle...that would put him at or near AJ Hawks measurables...I think he stays at LB.


edit: I have been asked to clarify his 40 times:
the 4.52 was his first reported time...his second reported time was 4.47.

My apologies. :)
