This 18 year old linebacker from Cincinnati's
Colerain High School went all-out today
at
The Workout @Covington. His final
ASAP:Athletic Strength And Power training session prior to heading to Ohio State, where the he'll now be under the watchful eyes of Buckeye Head Coach
Jim Tressel. Today's session started out with some dynamic warm-up activity and then progressed to some football specific agility work as Tyler worked his way through a line of mini-hurdles...laterally...and forward...then catching hard thrown passes by trainer
Doug Monaghan, a former Colerain Cardinal himself...and also former Cincinnati Bearcat. A dropped pass would cost Tyler some push-ups....but with the good hands that he possesses...well, he didn't have to do too many pushups! From there, he strapped on the Speed Chute, for some parachute resistance sprints.

After a brief interval of recovery, it was down to the cone drill area for more agility and speed explosion training. You can view the exclusive ASAP video of one of these drills by checking out the following:

At the completion of those drills
and sprints, it was on to the weight lifting. The wights were heavy today and the reps were lower. Tyler did some strength work on the Hammer machines the Iso-Inclines and the High Row and the Seated Iso- Row.
From there, it was on to some Manual Resistance Lateral Raises and Front Raises. Then the finisher... tricep pressdowns on the pulley and a set of Manual Bicep Curls.
This is a heck of a workout... you won't see too many guys at the local gym going at it like this. We got a lot of good pics of this future Buckeye today...he's a workout warrior! The pix not shown here will be dropped into the
ASAP Photo Album. .... By the way, this guy is an extremely quick athlete and the ASAP Program Director,
Ted Lambrinides thinks that Tyler is definitely ready for the rigors of OSU....and Ted should know, seeing as he was once the Assistant Strength Coach there for many great years....in fact, Ted was there for the last two outright
Big Ten Championships. Interestingly, Ted was on the strength staff when Coach Tressel was coaching quarterbacks under then Head Coach
Earle Bruce. Anyway.......
Tyler will fit right in up at
The Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Good Luck Tyler!
