STRENGTH OF THE PROGRAM. These days, an elite football team does not exist without an elite strength and conditioning coach. But that wasn't always true.

Turns out, teams used to share my aversion to the weight room (albeit for a very different reason), before one pioneer came along and changed the whole game.



From no weight training at all to Mickey Marotti's program honesty might be an even more jarring football development than the forward pass.

It seems Marotti – known as Meyer's right-hand man during his stints at both Florida and Ohio State – will not be joining him at the next level as the Columbus Dispatch reported that Marotti will remain with the Buckeyes even if Meyer does take the Jaguars job.

This is one of the biggest coaches that Day could get to stay.

Idk if Marriotti was a serious consideration. S&C coaches aren't all that important in the NFL, as players usually have their own personal trainers, nutritionists, etc. He will be better utilized in the college game, and making tremendous transformations for our Buckeye players.
