MICHIGAN, RUTGERS LAND SECOND OHIOANS IN 2021
Despite being a lower-ranked player and raw prospect, Toth has a ton of potential that hopefully comes to fruition once he gets to Piscataway.
After landing Toth to start the week, the Scarlet Knights added unranked defensive end Henry Hughes to end the week. Hughes is a large human being at 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, giving Schiano's defense a potential high-end edge player down the line. After having lots of local recruiting success, it appears Schiano and Co. are looking for national prospects to bolster their class before finishing with more New Jersey prospects.

Just sayin': Until Rutgers becomes somewhat competitive in the B1G (which may never happen) Schiano's only option is take low ranked and unranked guys that he thinks (or hopes) he can develop. That's just the current state of the football program at Rutgers.

Report: Rutgers football COVID-19 outbreak linked to on-campus party
An on-campus party at Rutgers that several athletes attended may have led to the coronavirus outbreak that forced the entire team into a two-week quarantine, NJ.com reported on Wednesday.
Fifteen Rutgers football players have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Judith Persichilli, New Jersey's state health commissioner.
Persichilli said during a news briefing in Trenton on Wednesday that there have been "several circumstances where indoor and outdoor gatherings in our state have led to community clusters of COVID-19." She included the party at Rutgers as one of a number of gatherings that led to coronavirus outbreaks.
A Rutgers spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Rutgers had at least 30 players test positive for COVID-19
Rutgers has had at least 30 football players test positive for COVID-19 since the team returned to campus in mid June.
Coach Greg Schiano released the information on Friday in his first conference call since the Big Ten Conference decided not to play football this fall.

Either Rutgers had no (or insufficient) safety and testing protocols, or they weren't monitored by the coaches and/or taken seriously by the players, etc.; which is probably another reason the B1G cancelled football.

Schiano is getting "quantity"; however, not a lot of "quality", i.e. 22 commits and only one 4 star, etc.

Rutgers scores on the amazing lateral play vs Indiana on 4th and 32. Sadly, this play ended up getting called back due to lateral that was deemed an illegal forward pass.

Some athletes assume they can fight due to their skillset on the field/court/pitch. Hope that guy is okay. It looked like he has been watching too many fight videos on the WWW with his pull up the pants, stance, and lack of reaction to the thrown punch [edit: it appears he got countered while throwing a slow punch].
