yes and yes.I don't know if they should get rid of Foote, one of their grittiest players. When he was in Colorado he was well respected and a leader even with all those stars around him.
Is he losing a step or getting old?
Though Adam Foote's name surfaced in stories in the New York papers about a possible trade between the Rangers and the Blue Jackets, his inclusion seems unlikely.
In the near future, maybe as soon as next week, Blue Jackets officials plan to start talking to Foote about a contract extension. Because of his age (36), they probably would be interested in only one or two years, and they likely will offer much less than the $4.6 million annual salary he's making now.
