Disagree there... I think Jenkins has been just as good, but he's been scored on (LSU) when he was put at Saftey for whatever reason. Malcom IMO has never had a bad game for us.

I can't remember one either. Of course, I can only remember two things from the Florida game - Teddy running for a TD and Jam-O getting yelled at by... Jenkins. I have tried my hardest to forget everything but the Teddy run, but for some reason that other memory sticks.

I agree, it's one of those things that we see Malcolm in coverage so little since they don't throw to him. Therefore, when he does a bad play it looks really bad, never mind, he is usually preventing throws from coming his way with tight coverage.

The funny thing is that I think the game in which Malcolm emerged as a big time DB is the Texas game a couple of years back. I think Jenkins will do just fine against Texas, my worry is the O-line and also whether we can pressure Colt McCoy.

Yup biggest fear for me is of course the lines. The write up the guys did makes me think we don't have a chance lol. Whenever I see buckeye fans (who are remarkably unbiased) give the edge to Texas on both lines (where the games are won) I usually don't feel to great about our chances.

Too bad Royster got hurt though because he looked effective when he ran the ball. I for one thought PSU's offense played fine, and that it was PSU's defense that sucked it up big time.

tosu actually played PSU better defensively... Goes to show you that there's no reason why we can't play with the USC's of the world.

It is obvious that Big 10 corners are not prepared to play against elite receivers. The main reason is that Big 10 recievers are mediocre at best.

Who were All Big 10? Decker and Williams? Are you kidding me? That's a joke. Do these guys measure up to Ginn, Gonzalez, Jenkins, Lee Evans, Brylon Edwards, the Purdue guys, etc etc. No they don't. You can see the dropoff in talent in OSU. OSU WRs are fine now, but htey would not be starting with Jenkins, Ginn, Gonzalez, Glenn, Boston around. Not even close.

As good as Malcolm has been, he's been average at best against UF, LSU, and USC. Does not instill confidence going against Texas.
Did you watch the USC game?

Chekwa and Jenkins were the only two Buckeyes that actually came to play.

ESPN - Carroll finds meaning in Pac-10's perfect bowl record - Pac-10
First of all, USC coach Pete Carroll admits the Trojans didn't distinguish themselves in the fourth quarter of the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Citi.

"We curled up in the fourth quarter," he said. "We sucked in the fourth quarter."
But, he noted, his team just whipped the Nittany Lions 38-24 after leading 31-7 entering the final frame.

"We gave them a chance to keep the score close, but it really wasn't that close of a football game," he said. "With all due respect -- I think they're a terrific team -- but we ran away with it."

You stay classy, Pete.

"It obviously shows the regard for the [Pac-10] schedule wasn't proper, was not right, was not accurate," Carroll said. "I know [the bowl record] is a pretty cool fact when you're comparing stuff right now. It's interesting."

Sure, it's cool when the Pac-10 is winning. No way he brings this up when the Pac-10 has a bad bowl season.

Does he have to be such a douche about this? Enjoy the win. Makes me appreciate that Tressel doesn't get into this stuff.

the big ten's problem is that every single team thinks SC has never been punched in the mouth and wouldn't know how to respond. Coach Carlisle put it best: everyone thought these big meat-eaters from Michigan would come in and beat our sushi-eating asses. That didn't happen
