I agree. For me it’s just a matter of — can Day sustain this a la can he complete the mission or is this just one of those emotional wins where we are fixing avoidable issues instead of proactively ready?

Yep. Cautiously optimistic. I think a legitimate criticism of Day is that he tends to want to refight the last battle.

To be fair, Oregon treated that game like a Spring Game.

They never once felt threatened by Penn State. They were just messing around with them entire game.

Thats the feel I got from watching it, anyway.

All that being said, Oregon's defense is far from impressive...

Their secondary just flat out isn’t very good IMO. They have the one good corner but the rest aren’t anything special. Will went for 320 yards and that’s with trying to stay balanced.

Going to need touchdowns in this one regardless and I bet we get them. Somehow they’re worse against the run?
