Pardon my ignorance but does that mean he would simply go as a student and improve his grades then transfer into Ohio State having not used a year of eligibility? Or just forgetting Ohio State altogether which seems to not pass the smell test. Your response is appreciated.

Simply put, Ohio State wants him to go to FU first to get things in order (ala Jones) but Ohio will take him now and see what happens.
