Rocky Balboa (VI - merged)

apollopic.JPG

Yeah, uh! Get up, now! Ow! Knock out this!
Super highways, coast to coast, easy to get anywhere
On the transcontinental overload, just slide behind the wheel
How does it feel
When there's no destination - that's too far
And somewhere on the way, you might find out who you are
Chorus:
Living in America - eye to eye, station to station
Living in America - hand to hand, across the nation
Living in America - got to have a celebration
Rock my soul
Smokestack, fatback, many miles of railroad track
All night radio, keep on runnin' through your rock 'n' roll soul
All night diners keep you awake, hey, on black coffee and a hard roll
You might have to walk the fine line, you might take the hard line
But everybody's working overtime
(chorus)
I live in America, help me out, but I live in America, wait a minute
You might not be looking for the promised land, but you might find it anyway
Under one of those old familiar names
Like New Orleans (New Orleans), Detroit City (Detroit City), Dallas (Dallas)
Pittsburg P.A. (Pittsburg P.A.), New York City (New York City)
Kansas City (Kansas City), Atlanta (Atlanta), Chicago and L.A.
Living in America - hit me - living in America - yeah, I walk in and out
Living in America
I live in America - state lines, gonna make the prime, that
I live in America - hey, I know what it means, I
Living in America - Eddie Murphy, eat your heart out
Living in America - hit me, I said now, eye to eye, station to station
Living in America - so nice, with your bare self
Living in America - I feel good!

Rocky Balboa [Rocky 6 Trailer]

Credit: TheMovieBlog.com

You know, I said it before but I'll repeat it here. I never liked the idea of either another Rocky film or another Rambo film... but I've got to give credit where credit is due. Everything I've seen and read about Rocky 6, including this Rocky 6 trailer, has made me do an about face. Rocky 6 has won me over and I'm oficially really looking forward to it.

They just seem to be doing everything right with it. From the approach, to the marketing and the feel. I like the fact that they really acknowlege Rocky's age in it and how that is probably the key element to the film. The Rocky films were never about Rocky vs. Apollo, or vs. Clubber or vs. Drago. The Rocky films were always about Rocky verses himself and his own personal challenges. Now the challenge is age and wanting just a taste of that glory again. PERFECT!

Heres the link for it:

This is tragic. Rocky V sucked because Balboa is past his prime and didn't have the ability to fight at his peak any more. It is now several years later and he has presumably only gotten older, slower, and weaker. Now he's going to go back and become champion again? It's a dumb concept, being provided by an actor who passed his prime with the first Rocky. . . I'll probably see it on opening day.

I bet you Rocky gets his ass kicked in the first rounds (with his hands at his sides of course, boxing with your hands up doesn't make interesting movie fight scenes) and the announcers will harp non stop about how he shouldn't have fought and has no chance, but he stays tough and sticks around, and then ends up fighting back valiantly at the end, complete with the announcers in awe at how valiantly he's fighting back and how they can't believe it. I'm thinking he doesn't win though. In a twist since it's the last movie (we can only hope) in the series, he gets knocked out in the final round, but earns massive respect from everyone for putting up such a good fight.
