Rocky Balboa (VI - merged)

Shouldn't there be an end to a movie series once it clearly "jumps the shark?"

I mean, what's next, Caddyshack 3? Star Wars Episode 3.5?

Nutty: "I'd rank em 1,3,2,4........5."

1-2-3-4-5? That's the same number an idioit would have on his luggage!!

I'd go: 1-3-2-4-and 5 never existed (in my mind, anyway).

What was wrong with #3? Clubber Lang, Thunderlips, Rocky getting trained by Apollo, Mick dying. I thought that was a good one, far better than the #5.

I'd rank em 1,3,2,4........5.

ive never been a fan of mr. T and hulk hogan i guess. it seemed more like a comic than a movie. the only highlight for me was mick dying which sounds kinda weird.

id rank them 4,1,2,5,3

Well, here is a little snip from IMDB.com that confirms the rumor of Roy Jones possibly playing the champ in #6.

Stallone Fights To Get Roy Jones Jr. in the Ring

Sylvester Stallone is sparring with boxing champ Roy Jones Jr. because he wants the fighter to sign up for his Rocky VI movie. The movie star wants the heavyweight champ to play fictional champion Mason 'The Line' Dixon in the film, which Stallone will write, direct and star in. Meanwhile, Stallone has an initial title for his sixth Rocky film - Rocky Balboa. Shooting is scheduled to begin in December in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the film is slated to be released next November. The movie star insists Rocky fans will see a few familiar faces in the movie: "People that were in the first movie, that you didn't think much about, are back - really minor characters are now major characters."

Whichever one has Drago is the only one worth watching, in my opinion, and it still isn't a very good movie.

Rocky I winning best picture is probably the biggest oversight in Academy Award history.

and it is also possible that rocky dies at the end, which was a submitted ending to rocky 5, but was scrapped when survey groups didn't like hte idea.

Can't see that one happening: this is a guy who refused to let Rambo die in "First Blood", even though he did in the book, and his IMDB page now lists Rambo IV as also in pre-production. I think Sly just can't let go...
