Rocky Balboa (VI - merged)

Yeah, New Hampshire pretty much rocks. You don't even have to wear a seat belt and stuff.

FWIW, I was very impressed with Stallone when he spoke to Rush Limbaugh (I know, I know) on the radio. I think this Rocky movie will surprise people with its focus. Stallone basically admitted that 5 was a travesty, and that he wanted to send the character out with a better ending. Apparently, the movie is all about being a man in today's society, following your passion (predictable), and Rocky's direction in life as an old, widowed fighter. Not a lot of fighting scenes, I guess, until the last 25 minutes. Don't know what the theatres will have, but he already admitted filming the ending two different ways, both of which will be on the DVD.

He also had an interesting anecdote on Roy Jones, Jr. Called him 31 times to be in the movie, and not one call was returned. Called the 32nd time and let him know that he was going in a different direction. Sly was asked whether he had ever met Jones. Said he had and they were friends, but Roy Jones Jr. just doesn't answer the phone or return phone calls, not even for Showtime or HBO, whichever one is his employer.

I saw Rocky 6 yesterday...same old same old. The first 45 minutes of the movie could be cut. It wasn't too bad, but very predictable...

I also saw Charlotte's Web with my daughter today is anyone woulld like my review....:wink:

* Warning Spoiler Alert *

Saw it last night.

I haven't really seen the other "Rocky" movies, only parts here and there, so I don't really know how it compared to the past movies.

Overall I thought it was a good movie. I'm kinda surprised he didn't beat the guy at the end, but that would've been predictable.

From what I saw at the end, it really seems like they set this one up for another Rocky movie. The way it ended, he lost to the guy and walked off from the ring. Nothing was said, and the movie just ended.

Wouldn't be surprised to see another one in the future.

Nope, Sly has said that he hated how Rocky 5 ended and that he wanted to see the character go out with diginity...and that's all that happen in this one. If there is ever another Rocky movie...may the concession stand shut down forvever!
