Rock Band/Guitar Hero Thread

I got it today, and I think it's great. The Beatles are my favorite band, so the game could've been just a black screen with all these songs and I'd be happy.

But, the visuals are pretty amazing. The "dreamscapes" for songs they made during the Abbey Road years are mind blowing. The songs all sound great, and the game play is exactly like Rock Band.

Plus, they threw in some extra unlockables, such as pictures, videos, and gamer pictures.

Good to hear!! Going to go pick it up tomorrow :) Love the Beatles, and love Rockband. If they would have put it on Guitar Hero, I wouldn't have bought it.

Got the Beatles RB last night, the full set. I sold my old RB set to my buddy and kept the nicer drum set :biggrin: He tried out the drum heads and liked them a lot, and obviously the metal drum pedal was much better than the old plastic one that we superglued/Priority Mail Taped back together.

We played through most of the Abbey Road chapters, those videos are super trippy. I feel like I need to pick up a drug habbit to play RB now. They definitly put a lot of time into this, doesn't feel rushed like Guitar Hero 5. I didn't know about 1/4 of the songs we've played, and that made it pretty damn tough to do harmony with his gf :lol: Overall it's been cool.

I've only got two gripes with this thing:
1. It was $250 for the full set. I think I paid $180 or something for the original set. Aside from the drums being of better quality this time around, the only thing extra out of the deal was a microphone stand...which I'll probably never use (I'm not that coordinated). Dunno if they jacked the price to pay off the Beatle's families or what, but it just seemed overdone.
2. I don't like the bass guitar that was packaged. If you compare it to the normal guitar that comes with RB, it has a longer neck, and understandably so. Unfortunately it was uncomfortable to play as I've really come to like the original RB guitar by this point. I may try to mod it myself to shorten the neck, we'll see how that goes. It feels like I should be a monkey to play the thing, its just uncomfortable to stretch your arm that long after all this time.

Xbox 360 and Wii users will get the six tracks on 1 December, while PlayStation 3 gamers will, as usual, have to wait two days and will instead be receiving them on 3 December.

The tracks are as follows:
