A little bit of NFL inflation going on.

yeah i dont understand how Archie is not just running away with the RB postition. yeah barry Sanders was pretty damn good, but archie won 2 heismans. The highest accompleshment in college and this is a all time great COLLEGE team.

edit: i just checked and Archie is 7th in votes for RB, behind b.Sanders, b. jackson, h.walker, r. bush, e,campbell and LT.

Like it or not Barry proved himself at the next level while Archie did not.
Can you really say that Archie was better than Eddie George or even Jerome Bettis even in college??

Accomplishments after college are totally irrelevent here.

Yes, I'd say 31 straight 100-yard games (this may still be the NCAA record) and averaging over 6 ypc for your career when opposing defenses are keyed on you is better than what George or Bettis did.

Too bad this isnt the Rivals.com Ultimate 'Pretty Good College Career followed up by an even better NFL career' or you would have point.

All that tells me is that Archie played his college ball in a run oriented offense running behind a great o-line and one of the best fullbacks ever. Yes Archie was a great collegiate back but as you all know IMO the real stars prove themselves
in the NFL.

All this tells us is that you're still a dipshit. How's this? Who led his team to three Super Bowl wins in four years? A QB who split starting time in college with mediocre stats. Why? Because he had a great coaching staff and an excellent OL. Griffin didn't have either during his time in the pros. So, performance at the pro level is not the lock of an indicator of talent as you claim. Archie Griffin was a better RB than Jerome "The Butt" Bettis...
